Rising Force was the first neo-classical metal epic I ever bought. I'd heard of Yngwie Malmsteen (sorry, Yngwie J. This album is a true classic. Yngwie J Malmsteen fuses melodic classical phrases, using musical devices such as pedal tones and minor harmonic runs. The sheer speed and accuracy of the guitar work on this album is amazing; this album has never been matched and until I release my solo album it never will ;-). This is perhaps Yngwie Malmsteen's most famous album of all time. The title track "Rising Force" shows a solo that is proved very difficult for the average guitar player. It is a song of amazing melodic playing and well thought out riffs and harmonies.
