Advantages: soothing, soft vocals, acoustic, brilliant guiat work, great album Disadvantages: if you like pounding dance music, and that only, then you probably won't like this.
Elliott smith will always be remembered as an extremely talented musician, and this Cd not only highlights this, but gives the fans a little something extra. Although it is a short album, it is definitely sweet. The album begins with 'Roman Candle' a true classic, one of my favourites from Elliott. It shows his torment as a person and touches your heart. It is known he had a troubled life, his step dad and him not getting along, and this song represents ... ...goes to show his mindset. The album is beautiful, another low production but great album, and the cover is eye capturing, simple, but intriging, Also the lyrics inside are with his hand writing which is nice. If you are an Elliott fan then get this album. The soft vocals, and layered guitaring will have you listening to it time and time again, each time hearing new things in his lyrics and melodies. ...
