Many may assume that as it contains hip hop it is full of obscene language and a lot of rap, but the save the last dance soundtrack brings a new meaning to hip hop and proves these people wrong. Even if you haven't seen the film the soundtrack would be a good buy. It's got a good variation of artists and styles of music. There's uptempo r'nb by Pink, Donnel Jones, and the fanastic track by Montel Jordan. You can't go wrong with a bit of Ice Cube and "You can do it" reminds you of the scene where she firsts gets her groove on in the club! Chaka Demus and Pliers give it a good ragga boost with Murder She Wrote, then you have some nice ballads ...

I have fell for the companies tricks for many years that the soundtrack cd contains all the songs from a particular film. Most of the time they don't and you have to buy another cd containing 'more' songs to get all the best ones. I was really excited to get this cd and find that all the great songs are on there. The album is perfect for a workout as most of the tracks are high energy with the slower ones to allow you to warm up or down.
