...extravagent personality of the alter-ego Slim Shady made this album a guaranteed hit. The "Public Service Announcement" sets the scene for this album. "The views and events expressed here are totally f**ked, do not partake in the listening of this album with laces in your shoes" describes this album perfectly. The lyrics maybe "f**ked" but they are fun and not to be taken seriously. The first track is also Eminem's first release, "My Name Is". ...

The Slim Shady album is one of the best albums I have heard. Eminem's second album (after his debut one, Infinite) is excellent. With 20 tracks, there is a track to listen to for every type of mood that you are in! His talent is just so apparent. The special edition version has 3 extra songs on another c-d (2 freestyles) and a c-d rom element. I bought the Slim Shady lp after his most recent one, Marshall Mathers and so my expectations were high ...

The slim shady LP was eminems first album released. It is a double CD set. The second CD is mainly mixes and videos and pictures etc. I prefer the new album to this (Marshal Mathers) but it is still an outstnding album. I don't recomend this to anybody that doesn't like bad language as every song has a lot of swearing in it. This isn't good unless you like that sort of thing which I do. ...the first time. Buying the Slim Shady LP 2 weeks later only seeked to confirm this. His lyrics show who he is - someone not afraid to speak his mind, who does not feel the need to bow down to convention and watch what he says because some members of society may not approve of what he's saying. He says it how he sees it, although this does not mean he believes in everything he raps about on his tracks. Some people seem to feel that he actually wants ...
...about it. I do admit it is slightly odd that he raps about these things, but why just because he says he wants to kill Kim does he mean he's going to do it? There's the saying "oh I could kill him/her!" when someone is really mad, but does this mean they are actually going to? Of course not! ...contains the hit singles 'I'm Slim Shady' and 'Guilty Consience' with Dr. Dre. The language is disgusting but I think thats one of the main things that appeal to people. All of the songs have really catchy beats and a lot of the songs have good stories like him killing his wife but pretending she's asleep whilst with his daughter. I don't really recommend buying this album for your kids for obvious reasons but older people who don't mind bad language ...
