Advantages: Consistant high quality tracks Disadvantages: May not be to everyone's taste
Kids In Glass Houses have become one of my favourite punk bands lately, I'm always on the lookout for new punk bands and artists so I was more than happy to have a listen when a friend leant me this album! I have somewhat of a loathing for mainstream artists who call themseves 'punk' when all they really are is dressed up boy/girl bands who sing (mime) cheesey pop, so I was glad that I hadn't heard of Kids In Glass Houses when I was told about them!I ... ...rather than punk but there are definitely elements of punk here an there. If you like bands like Death Cab For Cutie, Cute Is What We Aim For or Hawthorne Heights then this album is probably worth checking out because they all share similarities. The first song that really jumped out at me was the opening track; 'Fisticuffs'. Just the title made me want to listen. It gave me the impression of something for the mosh pit, I'm not sure why but that ...

Advantages: Brilliant production of vocals, extremely catchy Disadvantages: They're WELSH! =P
Kids In Glass Houses have come up with the groundbreaking new debut album "Smart Casual", that will surely mark the first steps in their road to success.
One of the first things that struck me about this album was that pretty much any of the songs could have been singles - this band is definitely all killer and no filler.
Aled Phillips' vocals on every single track is near flawless, and remind me of both Ian Watkins (LostProphets) and Patrick Stump ... ...The tracks "Gimme What I Want" and "Easy Tiger" are definitely dangerously infectious, and their catchy vocals and melodies will have you frantically nodding your head and tapping your feet within a matter of seconds.
As far as Welsh bands go, KIGH are surely one of the best since Funeral For A Friend & LostProphets. Be warned - these guys are going to be big! ...

Quick review of Smart Casual - Kids In Glass Houses
An excellent CD. Top stuff from this new up and coming band. They're a welsh sort of emo powerpop band with upbeat catchy tunes. Top songs would be Easy Tiger and Raise Hell if you want to download a couple before buying them. Best thing would be to just check out their myspace where you can listen to songs. http://www.myspace.com/kidsinglasshouses They're like nothing you've ever herd before but if you like Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, Paramore and band like that you'll probably like them
10/10 for this debut album! ...

My brother is the kind of teenager who will go and see any band just for the sake of seeing them, and half the time i ignore him when he relays the tale of the gig. But Kids In Glass Houses were one of the few bands i have in common with him. With hits such as 'Gimme What I Want', 'Easy Tiger' and more recently 'Saturday', this album is set to be a giant rock leap forward in their career. The musical ability is tight for a group of this age and with ...
