...it. Many of the songs on this album are slow and chilled out relaxing tracks. My favourite slow tracks on this album are 'Falling', 'Troubles', 'Goodbye', 'Woman's Worth', 'Butterflyz' and 'Caged Bird' which showcase her beautiful voice and vocals really well. The backing piano and soundtracks are simple and flow really well with the lyrics that are well written making such beautiful music that is easy to listen to, some pretty catchy tunes that ...
...genres with ease. The other tracks are more upbeat like 'Girlfriend', 'Rock Wit U' and 'Jane Doe'. These show Alicia Keys' cool, funky side and her versatility and ability to sing in various styles. 'Mr Man' is a very unique track on this album which has a really good dance feel to it, a bit of a Latino/ salsa style beat to it and makes it rather enjoyable to listen to and dance to. One of the more unique slow tracks is 'Why Do I Feel So Sad' ...

Songs in A Minor was the debut album by Alicia Keys and was released in Jun 2001. It is the winner of five grammies and entered the US billboard at no.1. But what did I think about it? What comes through in the album is Key's extroardinary piano and song-writing skills. The lyrics betray understanding and experience well ahead of Key's tender years, and is the perfect break-up album (you'll find yourself listening and suddenly realising that this song is describing your life). The best songs- 'How come you don't call me' and 'fallin'. ...
