Advantages: Great songs, catchy, good lyrics
Disadvantages: A couple of duffs, some songs start to sound similar
...for this version of The Sound of The Jam, because from searching on Ciao, I see there is this 2CD + DVD collection, a single disc, and a single disc with a DVD.
I own the single disc on CD, but I have this as a download, just without the videos. I wish I had found this before I bought the CD, but I am definitely going to invest in this now.
For a Jam compilation, I think, if you just want a quick introduction, the single CD is the way to go, but ...

Advantages: Brilliant listening, brilliant watching.
Disadvantages: More pictures, maybe a little poster would be good.
...Who, The Kinks and the sound of Motown. They were well know for wearing suits and having scooters...by scooters i mean proper scooters not these crap moped things nowadays i mean VESPA's and Lambretta's.
I feel their music sums up what i imagine it to have been like at the time...the conflict between authority figures and society yet still having relationship probelms and singing about being heart broken.
