Advantages: fun cheap night out Disadvantages: none
Before I start, I know this isn't in the right section. Closest I could find. Sorry!!!
Went to see Gun"Z" n' Ro"Z"e's last Friday at the Fleece and Firkin in Bristol with my boyfriend and a couple of buddies. (And a whole bunch of random mulletts)
In case you hadn't guessed, the "Z'ds" come in as they are a tribute band. If you're reading this op, you'll know this already!
I am actually still extremely deaf, so excuse me if I can't hear you.

...Axl Rose
"The Spaghetti Incident?" was released through Geffen Records in 1993 and was more famous for being Guns N' Roses' final release than for being a groundbreaking CD! The band members went back to basics after the complex Use Your Illusion releases and produced a twelve track CD by punk bands cited as their influences when they were an up and coming band on the LA rock scene. Die hard Guns N' Roses fans lapped it up but music critics were ... ...time and the said critics saw this album as a bit of a cop out. A tribute album, nothing original but guaranteed to keep the fans happy.

Advantages: Different approach on some songs you may have heard before Disadvantages: It's just not Guns.
"That's the sound of Guns N' Roses breaking up, right there" - Slash (Guns N' Roses)
I bought this album for about £3.99 simply to complete my GNR CD Collection, as I am a big fan of their music. I was thoroughly disappointed, but, really what could I expect? Coming after the huge double album Use Your Illusion (Volumes I and II), this was the last album produced by Guns N' Roses. Their lineup slightly altered from when the first hit the music scene ... ...much they had changed.
Consider Appetite for Destruction - Heavily original, new and different, ground-breaking stuff. Then this. This album was the culmination of a illustrious career, but it simply fails to produce, it is a terrible anti-climax and you are just left thinking "what happened?".
Now, to be fair, there are some songs that I tolerate, Sympathy For The Devil and Since I Don't Have You are okay, but on the whole, this album is only ...

Advantages: Different, interesting, well worth listening to Disadvantages: Probably not what you're expecting
This is an excellent album - a number of tracks given the Guns n Rises treatment - heavy and punk tracks that you probably wouldn't associate with the Guns. A break away from Appetite and Illusions and a welcome one at that. Well worth investigating. The best tracks to my mind are "Brand New Rose" and "Down on the Farm". The only track given a previous outing is "Coma" played here again in all its glory. All fans of the Guns should have this in their ...

Advantages: Great lyrics and songs Disadvantages: Heavy amount of swearing
The Spaghetti Incident is just one of a number of class albums that G'n'R have produced. It has some great songs on it, and the lyrics, typically for most G'n'R albums, are magnificent and also often quite funny and kooky as well. It is probably not their best album, although it is up there with the great Appetite for Destruction and the classic Use your Illusion efforts as well. Axl howls those lyrics like a man possessed (which he arguably was ...
