The title of the CD, in my opinion, fits perfectly. The Funk Brothers, I am convinced after listening to the tracks that they were the unsung heros. Just listen to way that the snare drum is tuned each song to fit the key. Just listen to the way the musicians can combine funk and soul into one complete package. Chaka Kahn & Montell Jordan provide an uplifting duet for the song Ain't No Mountain High Enough after Ben Harper provides a subtly smooth version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine.
