Still I Rise, the third posthumous release of "new" material by Tupac Shakur, is not surprisingly a mixed bag. Recorded in 1996 with the Outlawz, the disc at its best does showcase the power of 'Pac. More politically acute (and complexly anti-Clinton) than most gangsta rap even attempts to be, "Letter to the President" and "The Good Die Young" find the star turning in some of his most focused lyrics and performances. This album has changed the way I look at 2Pac. I used to look at him with some amount of awe and think, "My what a good rapper" but thias album crused that veiw. I now think of him as dead for a start but also as a less good rapper. His first albums were amazing. His songs before this album have all been amazingly good and I woundered how he came up with it all. But this album is full of dull, slow moving songs and all the lyrics are cheesy and boaring ... 2Pac & The Outlawz have released an amazing album. The group is spearheaded by the late Tupac Shakur and this album contains 14 out of the 16 tracks with him laying down some of the best lyrics he has done on another track "Can't be touched" he doesn the chorus. This started due to poor album sales which is caused by Suge Knight who is the CEO who did not purposely market the album well in order for it to have low sales, i.e., only one music video, hardly any advertisement. ...i was 14 and i still think that it is a brilliant album! The songs are all in the wow factor especially still i rise! this is by far the best tune on the album! The fact that i can still listen to this album for hours proves that it is timeless because normally ill have an album and be sick with it by next week! unlike 2pacs other albums, this album is light and fluffy and not too hard core although it still holds the 2pac edge!
