Advantages: Well written CD.

'These days' is a CD consisting of 14 tracks. The first 5 tracks on the CD are magnificent. However, after the first 5 songs the other tracks pale in significance. All of the tracks are well written and with good feeling, its just that some of them don't quite have the Bon Jovi seal of excellance. ...the Bon Jovi album called These Days, it was so good, each track had something different about it, favourite songs included ‘Something for the pain’, ‘Lie t me’, ‘Heart Breaking Even’, ‘I’ll be there for you’. And the best of all This ain’t a love song. I think this was Bon Jovi’s best album, other’s were to come much later but they were always going to be compared with this ... Read review

Advantages: Easy to relate to, amazing musicianship
Disadvantages: somewhat darker than other bon jovi albums

I have always been a bon jovi fan and loved their music, but I must admit, this album was one of the last albums I added to my collection. The album, released in 1994 touches a more sinister and heart breaking note. Personal favourites include "this aint a love song", "these days", "something to believe in" and my guitar lies bleeding"......The whole album seems to focus around losing a loved one or breaking up with a loved one which makes it easy ... This is an alright album. It is a little inconsistent. There are as ever with bon jovi albums some good rocking tunes (something for the pain – sticks in my mind) but there is also some real pap. The guitar work by richie sambora rescues a lot of the songs but there are some that are beyond even his touch (hearts breaking even). Disadvantages: A great album its hard to stop listening to it.

In 1994 bon Jovi released These days probably there best then and still now. The album starts with the Heavy laiden 'Hey god' and simmers down to great slow ballads such as 'diamond ring' and 'bitter wine'. The singles "This ain't a love song' and 'Thess days' are catchy and your be singing along in minutes. I have had this CD for a very long time and never get tired in pluging it to my CD player and just listening.

Not long been a Bon Jovi fan (approx 5 years on and off), but this album is the best I've heard yet. Starts off well and just gets better and better. This is the Bon Jovi I prefer to listen to (compared to his newer stuff which I find harder to enjoy and takes longer to grow on me)! Good mixture of rock ballads and up tempo typical Bon Jovi rock songs (with meat on them!!) and some songs with slightly different tones. Really good variety of tunes ... Read review
