I'm quite possibly the kind of person that Charlotte Church was aiming at when she decided to take a change of direction into pop music. I would never even have considered buying her "Voice of an Angel" style CDs, purely because classical and operatic style music isn't my thing. The path from Classical singer to pop icon is a very tricky one, with many artists regretting their crossover. The debut album from Charlotte Church has helped her to crossover completely into the world of pop in one record, while still maintaining the musical integrity which goes with the classical genre. After initially buying this album after hearing the singles released, "call my name" and "crazy chick" I was pleasantly surprised at how good the rest of the songs were. My favourite song on the album is "show a little faith" which has excellent lyrics that can relate to almost anybody in many different situations. Other favourites on the album are "confessional song" and "easy way out" although confessional song doesn't have the best lyrics I've ...

The whole album is extremely easy listening and I don't find myself skipping any tracks to get to the next one as I often would do with other albums.
