Advantages: It's hards to believe Tom McRae is only 24 years old.
Disadvantages: There are a couple of tracks which aren't as good as the rest

You may have come across Tom McCrae on the last series of Jools Hollands’ Later…. It was just Tom playing a guitar and singing, with a girl playing a violin next to him. ...Comparable to Radiohead, and maybe Tom Waits, but more chilled than either of them, Nick Drake also comes to mind. This is his debut album, and in my opinion, his finest work. The look and feel of the album is simple; the insert has a black and white photo of Tom's face, and the tracks are listed in white type on a black background. being new to the Ciao scene thought i'd write my first opinion on an artist and album i'm passionate about. go easy on me, i'm a beginner... First came accross McRaes music at the Dido concert. one man and his guitar really, singing unknown songs. ...hearing the dying strains of Tom McRae's 'The Boy With The Bubblegun' in the car one afternoon as I drove home was - 'He sounds like James Taylor'. My second thought was - 'I need his album'.
