Advantages: It's a phenomenon, but which do you choose
Disadvantages: None
...saw and heard nothing, drives Tommy into himself and he becomes deaf dumb and blind. He remains oblivious to the evils of the world who are portrayed by characters that he comes into contact with.
His parents try in vain a variety of cures. Tommy only finds contentment staring into a mirror and playing pinball. In frustration his mother finally smashes the mirror and Tommy is released. His enlightenment causes him to believe that he has become ...

SEE ME...FEEL ME...TOUCH ME...
Review of Tommy [Remastered] - Who (The) by
tom_knowles
Advantages: Great album
Disadvantages: Pathetic film
...legs’ competition- mum forgets about Tommy so that she can hit the sack with Bernie (the bloke that runs the camp). So… could it be a good year? What a slag! “ Got a feeling it is gonna be a good year, especially if you and me see it in together.” Then one night Tommy sees Bernie hit mum. The trauma of this, as well as the fact that he misses his real dad, makes him go deaf, dumb and blind. Yes I know that this sounds a little ...

Tommy, can you hear me
Review of Tommy [Remastered] - Who (The) by
colinlivingstone
Advantages: a milestone in musical history
Disadvantages: Kieth Moon sings
...very end of the 60s Tommy encapsulates the mood of the time. To quote the sleeve notes, it is an everyday story of murder, trauma, bullying, child molesting, sex, drugs, illusion, delusion, altered conciousness, spiritual awakening, religion, charlatanism, succes, superstardom, faith, betrayal, rejection and pinball. Not bad in 70 minutes, eh?
The storyline for the worlds first rock opera tells of a boy who witnesses the tragic homecoming of dad ...

Advantages: A great Rock and Roll materpiece
Disadvantages: Nothing else can come close
...music.
The actual story of Tommy the deaf, dumb and blind kid that plays Pinball is quite far fetched but very good at the same time.
The songs on the album are great. I actually think Pinball Wizard is one if the best ever written. A musical masterpiece.
If you listen to the Lyrics, it explains what Tommy is really like. "Cant Hear no buzzers or Bells.....Plays by Sense of smell..." He sure does play a mean Pinball!
Tommy the theme tune is ...

There arent enough superlatives
Review of Tommy [Remastered] - Who (The) by
Squonk
Advantages: a classic
Disadvantages: like any concept album, it can be demanding listening
Fantastic, superb, wonderful; there simply aren`t enough superlatives with to praise this, The Who at their best and in my opinion one of the great rock albums of all time. It seemed to capture all four members being on top form; Jon Entwhistle is as reliable as ever on bass, Keith Moon`s drumming was never better, Roger Daltrey gives one of his great vocal performances and Pete Townshend is at his most energetic and creative, four greatly talented ...
