The perfection of Gwen Steffani sums up all that is brilliant about this entire album. I could just say that, but I know that I have a word limit to fulfil, I also know that technically it is not really true. There is a sort of "I'm so innocent, but I'm gorwing up" feel to this album. The range of tracks in this album is fairly diverse, but it all somehow manages to peice itself together perfectly. having heard no doubt on the radio when i lived in california, i thought that it was a good song. i can't remember what the tune was, what i can remember however is that my brother went out and bought the album and quickly got bored of it. so i bought it off of him for a small amount of money. that was by no means a mistake. the opening track, "spiderwebs" is a fairly fast paced, good song that sounds exactly like they do at their best. the album ...

At the age of about 11, a song on the radio instantly captivated me, I became obsessed with it and had to find out more. nine years on and I still feel the same every time I hear the opening chords of Don't Speak. For 6 years Tragic Kingdom has been on serious rotation on my CD player and long may it continue! Like most people, Don't Speak brought No Doubt to my attention, Great song, great video, but I have to say that now it seems to be the weakest track. Maybe I've played it too many times! Comparisons to Madness and the "new" ska style still persist but TK is a shiny bauble of great music, and it can't be defined. Let's End It On This is bittersweet yet ...
