Gem Avril Review ofUnder My Skin - Avril Lavigneby
ChocolateChip
Advantages: For those who like Avril's music this is a real gem of an album Disadvantages: Making you wish you could write songs like her!
A mix of punk, pop and rock.
I've had this album for a while, and still find myself recommending it to friends and family, trying to spread the Avril spirit!
After loving Avril's first album ('Let Go'), and still listening to it over and over again, this next one ('Under My Skin') did not dissapoint! in fact I sometimes find myself thinking that it's better than the first.
If you liked any of Avril's first album tracks, you will find as ...

Advantages: Full of personality Disadvantages: None
Ive been a fan of Avril Lavigne for some time at one point I was obsessed but over time Ive moved away from her and moved on to such bands as Cradle of Filth and My Chemical Romance. But I still sometimes pick up the cd place it into the CD player and let my self just fall away by sheer talent.
She is one amazingly talented girl who deserves all the happiness in the world for bringing out such music that million's of people can relate to. Although ...

Advantages: Really good CD Disadvantages: none! except its sooo addictive!
'Under my skin' is the new album from Avril Lavigne, it was released in the UK on the 25th May 2004.
The album includes the hit single 'Dont tell me', a new, fresh style of music from avril - not her pop-like-rock from her first album.
The lyrics are more adult and meaningful, such as in the song 'Slipped away' which is dedicated to her late grandfather. It is explaining how she feels about his death and how she would do anything to get him ...

Advantages: Songs for all moods Disadvantages: Leaves you yearning for more
From the first listen, Avril's sophomore album sounds more mature and grown up than her previous offering namely 'Let Go'. For die-hard fans of Avril this will be a breath of fresh air due to all the new material on this album but for those who aren't already devoted fans this second album will definitely break boundaries.
Whereas 'Let Go' concentrates on more teenage issues and fun whilst growing up, 'Under My Skin' delves deeper into issues important ...

Under my skin? Review ofUnder My Skin - Avril Lavigneby
dubbers
Advantages: Really catchy songs, easy to listen to Disadvantages: musically very like the first album.
I was given this album by a friend a week or so ago. I enjoyed the last album (am i meant to admit that at 27?), but not enough to go out and buy her second one. But now I own it, I am glad I do.
For someone so young, Avril Lavigne seems to know a lot about being in love, and being hurt....in fact, in some of the songs she comes across as almost jaded about it all.
The lyrics are a lot more cynical than her debut album, but to me it makes a better ...

Advantages: Good music Disadvantages: some bad songs
This is one of Avril Lavigne's best albums, its from before she turned more R'n'B. These songs are great, packed full of emotion and Avril's voice is strong and clear which makes them a pleasure to listen to.
The lyrics are well thought out and very meaningful, also many teenagers can relate to what she's singing about which makes her an even bigger success.
These songs are very original and memorable, with great sounds in the background which make ...

Under Avril's skin Review ofUnder My Skin - Avril Lavigneby
furlongdesign
Advantages: Her second album is again shows that she is there for she knows someithing. Disadvantages: Not really
Avril Lavigne's Under My Skin is the fallow-up release of "Let Go" - her first album. It's a great album to show she is not a "one album" pop star. Though her music is used to be marked as punk, her style, and especially this release has a pop(rock) feel. I could spend hours listening during my working hours for relaxing. Avril has a good talent for music, her style is amazing and can stick you to the words she says. She speaks out what she thinks ...

Avril's Second CD Review ofUnder My Skin - Avril Lavigneby
kristy2520
Advantages: Lots of good music, more mature Avril. Disadvantages: That there aren't more songs.
...improvement in her music. In Under My Skin, she had much more say in her songs, taking the lead role in the writing or co-writing with other people (including Chantal Kreviazuk, Ben Moody, and her guitar player, Evan Taubenfeld, just to name a few). Every song on the album is personal to her and you can definitely hear the emotion in her voice. Her second CD is also more rock than her first. Probably the slowest song is "Slipped Away," which is about ...

Advantages: punky pop with attitude and meaning Disadvantages: if you dont like one song you may not like the rest
Having owned this album since it first hit shop floors I can be the first to say that it is honestly brilliant! I originally paid £12.99 for it, but you can find it much cheaper on sites such as this and ebay. Avril Lavigne is back on form with her second album, which is a lot more rocky and deep than her first, perfect for those who grew up listening to her when she made her debut and have grown in time to her nusic. This album marks a change in ...

Advantages: Very catchy songs. Disadvantages: Not much that is new on this album.
Thsi album is the follow up to the massive debute album from avril let go. This album is an excellent follow up to her first album.
In this album lyrically she has grown up and it shows. 'Don't tell me 'My happy ending and I always get what I want and how does it feel are properly the best songs on the album.
This album is very simerlar to let go and is the right formular for chat sucess.
The young punk rocker shows she has got what it ...

Advantages: Very mature and easy to listen to. Disadvantages: None
This a follow up album with a difference. The album is filled with songs which move with the maturing of her voice and mind. There are plenty of songs for those of us who like something with a underlying meaning. It makes a change from the usual second album, there is definitely valuable content rather than being a desperate attempt for shelf-life.
There is of course the odd song which is definitely aimed at the younger age groups but this is not ...
