This album is very different compared to her first album. The young singer has grown up and has become very emotional. In her first album she brought 'girl power' back by showing girls that they are allowed to have their own opinions and they shouldn't have to hold back. i returned home to listen to Avril's new album that i'd just brought, i was delighted to find how much better this album was compared to her last, and how this 'new' type of music did not follow the "poppy" trend of her past. This album is deffinately alot more heavier and "rocky". This album also contained much more creative lyrics, deffinately catchy. a very good album with a good mix of songs. all the tracks are very much in the Avril lavigne style she is a very soft rock, emo chick and all her tracks are fun and catchy. this is a fun album that will appeal to a whole range of people from teeney boppers ( althought there is some choise words in some of the songs. hence the parental advice sticker) through to mums and dads. personalls i like the how does it feel track ( track 5 ) a fun thought ... Advantages: clever lyrics and excellent sounds

A big change from her last album, Avril really puts some emotion into this collection of songs. Lots of heart-felt emotional songs about relationships, and all the usual things teenagers have to learn to deal with. This album shows how she has matured and is turning into an excellent role model for today's youth. Advantages: Just as good as the last album
Disadvantages: Needs to get the teenage angst image away for older new fans

You can tell she is older from the lyrics. The words sound to mean more and I didn't have the laughing element from a couple of her previous songs. The songs all mix well in a great order of play. You get a big bang with loads of drums and synths, then the soft voice of Avril singing a melody (very well). I think Avrils second album is fantastic. Easily as good as her first and with songs such as 'My Happy Ending', 'Together' and 'He Wasn't' its hardly suprising it has been as popular as it has. I have been an Avril fan for ages and this latest album confirms my opinion... Avril RULES!!! Avril Lavigne Under My Skin. Is a fantastic album and yet again Avril has proved her self. She has excelled in keeping to her excellent musical tallents. She still wont fade away for years to come. Every song on this album is truely brillent. From soft ballad to hip chic rock tune, with excellent guitar rifts and Avrils sweet voice, its deffinatley one of the best albums of 2003.
