...it, dance to it.’
UNWRITTEN released 6 September 2004
These Words (running time 3.36min)
The lyrics of this song focus on Natasha’s writing career. “These words are my own, From my heart flow” This track is Natasha’s follow up to her debut ‘Single’. The track has a strong beat and rhythm with easy to follow lyrics. It is a song that makes you want to move but I wouldn’t categorise it as a dance track. In this track the true beauty of Natasha’s ... ...cocky and very tongue-in-cheek.’
Unwritten (running time 4.19min)
The words of this song seem to suggest a new beginning for Natasha. I thought this signified her career as a singer, but in fact was intended to help he brother as he was growing up. “I’m just beginning, The pen’s in my hand, Ending unplanned” It also seems to be about being true to yourself and following your heart, “no one else, Can speak the words on your lips” This is the single ...

Advantages: Superb album poss one of THE albums of 2004 Disadvantages: Some of its a bit soppy and slow, but then you might like that!
...what could revive pop!
Unwritten - A fantastic ballad (that you'll have no doubt heard) beautifully worded and beautifully sung. Its not dreary its not whinge and sadness its empowering! I really like this song - ALOT! The vids a bit weird though.
I Bruise Easily - Keeping the ballad theme (would have been a good idea to break them up) this one more biographical than the latter. Its obviously a song close to Natasha's heart... you ca hear it in ... ...sounds and is another triumph. Not sure if would like it if it wasnt Natasha though.
If You're Gonna - Ok is this Pink? Natasha goes rocky! A fusion of rock and slight electro with hard vocals and a hard chorus this song isn't single material but its no album filler and after two ballads makes a diverse change. Like the bit about the 'Diva'.
Silent Movie - Working with Guy Chambers pays off on this song! Starts out like a country song and turns ...

Advantages: Musically - very varied and refreshingly sounding. Disadvantages: May seem abit sameish to some.
Critically acclaimed and hyped Natasha Bedingfield's debut album was expected to be a real stonker, and indeed it is. ''Unwritten'' is a fantastic and uniquely sounding album with a amazing sound. The album carries a refreshing sound and brings something really unique into the charts.

Advantages: Some great stand-out tracks Disadvantages: Seems to be having an identity crisis at times
...little contrived. 4. Unwritten - The new single. Another change of direction and a little more easy on the ear. Uses a simple repeating melody throught the verses to good effect. Catchy chorus and destined for the top 3. 5. Bruise Easily - The stand out track. A much more mature downbeat sound, deeper lyrics and a beautiful sweeping chorus. Should be released as a single but probably never will be.
6. If You're Gonna - Uptempo, designed to be played ... ...to respect anyone that can get 'chihuahua' into a song!
7. Silent Movie - Change of tempo again. Lyrically back on form but the music doesn't do it justice and it ends up sounding very bland and instantly forgettable.
8. We're All Mad - Again, great lyrics but a bit bland. The music hooks you in from the beginning but the chorus fails to build on this and it fails to hold interest.

Advantages: Great sounding debut album Disadvantages: All about the trials and triulations of growing up!
...and singing. Her debut album Unwritten draws on a range of experiences and passions personal to her – from battling through the dating game ("Frogs And Princes"), and dealing with the trust issues of falling in love ("I Bruise Easily") to learning how to carpe diem ("If You’re Gonna Jump") and develop the confidence to take life and own it ("Unwritten"). Told from the viewpoint of a young woman with her head firmly screwed on, Unwritten is fuelled ... ...is inspired by a wide range of influences and styles. The result is an album packed with winning songs and no irrelevant fillers. I think this album is an inspiration to young women out there who think they cant make it on their own or who still feel it is a mans world. Natasha's strong and independent character shines through via the lyrics but it also shows that no-one is exempt from lifes heartaches and struggles to making it.

first i have to say i was suprised to actually get this album, because i wasnt really into this sort of music, but after hearing her latest single "these word", i was like "go on i'll give it a go!"
I have to say i actually quite liked it, ok it aint no album of the year, but what is nowadays!....great funky bass beats waving in the background, good lyrics and well a girl with an attitude!
An artist as pure as her dont come along very often in ... ...have a new uniqe touch to the UK music chart...that we can call our very own!.yess alll ours!lol
The debut album surely matches if not knocks past her older brothers standard of music...with daniel trying to be the next ronan one minute then a rock star......then a jackson...it did get a little confusing at time!.
But Nat stays real, her different styles of songs on the album are not forced like her brothers, but mearly an illustration of talent.

Advantages: 11 out of 11 tracks good Disadvantages: none for a change
There are 11 tracks on this album and two bonus tracks which are
1.: These Words
In the song she will be singing about writing her own song how she using her own worlds to describe how shes feeling at a particular time or event. Its a catch song but I have overplayed it a bit so a bit off the song but thats my fault.
2.: Single
Its all about being single and how much fun you can have to enjoy those times as much as you can
3.: I'm A Bomb
Basically ... ...and it would not take much to make her mad at a weak moment.
4.: Unwritten
5.: I Bruise Easily
She is saying how words can her someone easily. The way she sings the song makes it a joy to listen to and its my favorite song.
6.: If You're Gonna
7.: Silent Movie
How life is really like a silent movie which your not always the director of the movie.how sometimes your just an actor or actress going a long with the script.

...was a bit 'shouty' on Unwritten but it has grown in me more and more. I know some people have compared that track to Alanis Morisette and I guess her voice is similar. I Bruise Easily stuck in my memory instantly, a haunting melody with thought provoking words. WOw factor or what??!! Single has that 'up yours' snazzy beat to it, reminiscent to the Spice Girls but done with class. Size Matters was an interesting one, the title alone made me smile. ... ...songs sounding similar but others so different you really have to sit uo and listen. I hope she can keep on this level and not drop into the black hole of hasbeans like her brother. She is still young and with a strong voice and the right music I'd imagine she will bring out another great album next year. ...

Advantages: Catchy beats... Disadvantages: She should hire a lyricist!
Since I'm the only one who thinks she's released a terrible album. I'm sure to be shot down here but I must express myself about this album because I absolutely abhor it.
She is not a fantastic adult pop star, her songs have lyrics that should be used on Sesame Street. "These Words.." the lyrics just shock me!! How can adult write that much nonsense? Either she really is a blonde or she has the writing talent of a child! Her rhyming words are terrible!

Advantages: wonderful lyrics Disadvantages: one rather "loud" rap song- could chase away people who don't like rap
The best cd ever!
This has got to be one of the best cds of this world! It was the first cd I have ever bought full price (not cheap off internet) just after it had come out, and I would never regret it!
The lyrics and up to date tunes have got to be the selling point, some of the songs just make you remember when you had that experience. Frogs and princes is a good example, true to its title, is about the dating game and trying to find the one, ... ...to be the opposite of what you expected. It features her bestselling singles, these words, single, unwritten and her latest release, I bruise easily. My favourite song on the album (so far, as its always chopping and changing!) is unwritten, as the lyrics do really mean something in that one. The one I least like would have to be Drop me in the middle featuring bazarre from d12 as I personally am not a fan of raps.
Here is my round up of the tracks:

Advantages: brill lyrics, beats and generally everything! Disadvantages: ummmmm nothing!
This is an outstanding album! if your having doubts on whether to buy this or not, then take my advice BUY IT! its worth its weight in gold!
1)THESE WORDS*
Unless youve been living in a cave for the last 3 months you will have heard his song! A poppy rythem and r`n b base, with cool smooth lyrics. For when youve had an argument with someone.
2) SINGLE*
Nat`s debut single, slightly more gritty and "south london" than These words, girl power lyrics ... ...3)I`M A BOMB*
Nat sounds slightley like pink in this one! More Rock/Techno than anything, basetastic beat.
For parties that need livening up.
4)UNWRITTEN*
A beautiful song, the start sounds like nelly furtardo`s "powerless" but then goes into natashas meaningful lyrics. Its in the chorus where the chorus really kicks off and shines through.
For when you need insperation.
5)I BRUISE EASILY*
Slower song, for anyone whose ever been cheated on. ...

Advantages: Brilliant album, new to the music industry with an angelic but sexy voice Disadvantages: Not enough songs!!
What a beautiful voice...her songs, her words comes straight from a true poet. I love this album, from single to these words. Natasha has a way to tell storys from her heart, in a way they mean to be heard. For instance: These words, one of my favourites, is told of her love for her brother (daniel). Natasha had a big mountain to climb to reach her brothers status in the music industry, and to which she has succeded to win over a very large population ...
