The dynamic of the classic Velvet Underground line-up was that Lou Reed provided the ear for melody, while John Cale provided the vital avante-garde edge that made the VU so unique (and so noisy). ...revolution had hit full steam. Velvet Underground weren't part of this movement and rebelled against it, more interested in hell raising and art! The front cover of this album was painted by Andy Warhol. It is simply a picture of a banana with Andy's signiture under it.
