...very important. The singer in Wheatus is squeaky and often very feminine! However, many younger children would love this, although there are some rude titles of tracks. It's nice to see an original band occasionally, and this does describe Wheatus. The voices are different (almost like Daphne and Celeste)and the songs are the type you don't often hear. As I said, its lucky that Napster and Audiogalaxy exist and allow you to listen to albums ... Read review

...it. I am reviewing a Wheatus album. And giving it four stars. Why oh why oh why you may ask? Is it because I am clinically insane? Mental? Bananas? Well, I probably am all of those things. But hey, it’s not ‘cos of that I love Wheatus. Promise. You see, my conversion came last Thursday, at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. ...of just under 35 mins, Wheatus can hardly claim to be offering value for money to their listeners. The tragedy is there is obviously some real talent in this group, in a knowingly dumb way. They know their way around a catchy riff and chorus and are evidently capable of much more then they display on the majority of this LP. Disadvantages: Utter b*****s, doesn't fill a cd, costs ten times more than it should

...programs such as Napster and Gnutella should survive. I'd heard 'Teenage Dirtbag' and seen the video, and have to admit that I liked the song. Having been burnt before, when I've purchsed albums on the back of one good song, I hunted for the album through Audiogalaxy, and downloaded it. I am so grateful that I never bought this. ...party when i declared how wheatus had done this song so much better than the beatles. I am still being mocked! THruthfully i think this cd is great, it is solid- with a cool, upbeat sound. It is so fresh, new and different to the garbage that they are playing on the radio these days. The songs on this album, i gaurentee you, cover a broad range of styles. I got this album the day it came out after I heard Teenage Dirtbag. I really like the song Teenage Dirtbag and I thought the album would be amazing... but I was wrong. There are some really cool tracks on here like Teenage Dirtbag, A little Respect and Love is a mutt from hell but some I have to say are rubbish. I heard a really funny quote about Wheatus. "Wheatus cross the boundaries of punk and teen rock" Er....Hello? No. What they actually do is suck real bad. I know tihs to be true after: a) hearing them a bit at V2001. b) Trying to listen to the album. I dont count them as Punk. The nearest they get to punk is performing songs with no tune. ...of peurile this band are. Wheatus want to be Blink 182 - dubious career idols, yes, but they don't even cut it to be that. Wheatus totally give the impression of the weedy, snotty little kids you just hate to live around the block from your house, the ones you would, if they survived in insect form, cheerfully use insecticide on. After hearing Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus I thought that I must get their album so I did. The album has ten tracks on it which isn't that many but is enough as this album is so great and each every song is good. The first song is Truffles which is great it is quite fast and has a good beat to it and is great to sing along to.
