Advantages: Every track is awesome, very unique Disadvantages: Some of the songs take a while to grow on you
...great lyrics and music loops. When I hear albums with opening tracks as good as this I want to listen on, the disadvantage to a good opener is that the rest of the album has expectations to meet!
Luckily, in this case, every track on the album is pretty good. Some of the tracks I didn't like the first time I heard them, but they grew on me, and now there is no track I don't like. My favourite track has to be "Oh! (What A Glorious Thing)" (track ... ...a good mood everytime I listen to it.
Like a lot of his music, a lot of the songs on this album are about serious issues, some controversial. "1 2 3 4 5 6 7" is about religion - in particular Christianity, the song "Dead Babies" is about abortion. Due to these controversial lyrics, especially the ones found in "Thanks For All The AIDs" lead to Interscope (the record label) deciding they weren't going to release the album because it was too politically ...
