...that truelly made me The White Stripes fanatic I am today. A brief over-view of the tracks - 1 - Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground - This is my favourite song on the album, although it is a close call. It's a sensational tune that really makes the album 2 - Hotel Yorba - A great country track that I can't resist listening to. ...shine on their albums, The White Stripes' White Blood Cells keeps the sound so raw it rubs calluses on your ears. The duo strips down to the fundamentals of Meg White's simple drumbeat and Jack White's garagey guitar and pleading vocals to create a noisy, hip-grinding batch of punk R&B. I first heard this album when i was having a BBQ at a mates house. I had never heard of this band before an i was astonished. As soon as i got home i went on to CD-Wow and ordered it for seven quid. An apsaloute bargin in my opinion. As for the songs the two singles off the album : Dead leaves on the dirty ground and Hotel Yorba are excelent Dead Leaves has a great beat which you just can't stop tapping too and Hotel Yorba even though its a bit short ...
