It was described as the difficult second album by the band. The punky, sex driven scream of their self titled debut album raised a few eyebrows within the mainstream media who possibly failed to quite understand the humour within some of the songs. Nancy Boy however was a big hit and managed to get to number 4 in the UK charts and an appearance for the band on Top of the Pops which may have shocked people.
