...is their second album, The Writing's On The Wall, where the band still had four members; Beyonce, Kelly, LaTavia and LeToya. The last two have since left and sued the remaining members twice over.
The album begins with the intro; their take on The Godfather. They lay down a set of Destiny's Commandments that will appear throughout the album before each song, such as 'Thou shall pay bills' for the song Bills Bills Bills. It ends with Beyonce saying, ... ...the title of the album! A nice idea, but I skip it because there's no point to it!
The first proper song is SO GOOD, a light, summery song; hitting back at all the critics and backstabbers who had trashed Destiny's Child. This is definitely one of the best from the album - not an instant hit but it grows on you! Sticks in your head for ages afterwards and you can't help singing...

...their constantly changing numbers. The Writing's on the Wall is a brilliant r&b album, and it contains all of the recent hits that we've come to love and know, including the no.1 hit "Independent Women". Destiny's Child came to the world with a message, and much of it is about how girls should treat their guys or how guys shouldn't treat their girls. Once you get through all of that, you're left with a pure r&b experience. The album has recently ... ...CD with four extra tracks. Intro

Hmm, what is going on here? It's one of those trendy introductions to the album with the girls trying to act out something from the Godfather. Grin and bear it!

I have'nt really been into the girls music for long but i heard a few of there songs and they sounded quite good. So i decided to go buy this album i got home and then realised i got the one with the bonus Cd and as a whole i found it to be a excellent album. I am going to take you through each of the tracks. ...of the rest of The Writing's On The Wall which is basically, Girl Power, but in a more sophisticated manner than the Spice Girls ever did it!
Each song carries on the theme of the intro, stating one of the DC Commandments at the beginning, such as "Though shalt not bug." but again, please don't let it put you off! Don't get me wrong, this is a good album. I just expected better from these feisty Texan ladies. Out of 17 tracks there are only 9 good tracks. The thing is the good tracks are VERY good, while the bad tracks are just boring. The feistiness of the singles is not borne out in the album fillers. It was very obvious to me that "Jumpin Jumpin" was going to be their next single as it is the most upbeat one that they have not released. I'm not including their acapella "Amazing Grace" among the 'slow' songs, it's another thing altogether and I'm tempted to name it the best track on the album as it is truly beautiful. These ladies know how to sing. Just leave the mush to Celine Dion. ...

...'Isn't it obvious - the writing's on the wall.'
This is basically saying that the album is for all of the people (mainly girls) who have been cheated on and disrespected in some way or another. To explain this further, between each track there is a 'Thou Shalt...' for a guide for men to avoid losing their girlfriends. For example 'Thou Shalt Pay Bills' before the song 'Bills Bills Bills'.
Here is a quick briefing of all the tracks:
CD One
1. ... ...a beat which explains the ideas behind the album, not so much a song as a talk.
2. So Good - upbeat, irregularly base-d song which has a catchy melody, though doesn't quite reach the standard of some of the other songs.
3. Bills Bills Bills - the first song to really get anywhere in the Uk for this band makes this song one worth listening to. Very catchy and annoyingly likeable, even though the lyrics don't always make sense.
4. Confessions (featuring ...

...The title 'The Writing's On The Wall' is said by the girls to "spell out what happens in a relationship when a couple treat each other in a certain way". The concept of the different commandments spelt out before each song came from none other than Wyclef Jean. They are an effervescent, hip-shaking, finger-wagging, 'you-go-girl' (don’t you just hate that americanism!) type of band. The oozing "Bug A Boo" is irresistible, as is the spirited "So Good". To their credit, the girls can slow the pace down, and on the soft "Temptation" they show it to great effect. There are some up beat numbers like "Jumpin Jumpin" and the the one that everybody knows "Independent Women". ...

Destiny's Child can definitely sing! This CD is a mix of ballads and upbeat tunes w/an R & B feel. Its not the best CD I've ever owned but I think their great role models and I love hearing them on the radio!
1. Intro-- Nothing much to it... its short

3. Bills, Bills, Bills-- I think this was the ... ...really catchy and once you hear it, it will be stuck in your head forever!
4. Confessions (featuring Missy Elliot)-- This song is pretty cool. I love the chorus and its really fun to sing along too. The background music makes this song really original.
5. Bug A Boo-- Here's another of their hit singles! Still cool, although, like anything else, if its overplayed it can get a little annoying. This song definitely gets stuck in your head!
6. Temptation-- ...

Destiny's Child have had their fair share of problems in the past but this has failed to affect the musical talent that they have to offer. This is an excellent offering and well deserved of "The R+B Album of the Year" title. Before I continue I will just say that I have the version with the bonus disc including four extra tracks.

The group then breaks ... ...Having listened to "Independent Women Part 1 and Part 2" (available on Disc 2), it is quite ironical to listen to "Independent Women" and "Bills, Bills, Bills" together as they appear completely contradictory. However, as I bought the album for the music rather than the message in the songs, this is simply quite humorous.
There are an equal number of fast ("Bills, Bills, Bills", "Bug A Boo", "Jumpin, Jumpin" and "Say my Name") and slow songs ("Temptation", ...
