Sorry to people who like this CD or Coldplay or whatever, but I totally hate them! I wouldn't really recommend this CD to anyone unless you're looking for a lullaby CD for your kids, cos honestly I nearly fall asleep myself whenever I hear it! Coldplay have produced a solid 3rd album, but expect an Oasis type backlash from the media. Although the album is selling really well (remember Be Here Now??) I honestly beleive the media will turn on them. True, it has some awesome songs. Fix You and Speed of Sound are great tunes but the weaker songs are certainly not ones which inspire. The first thing with Coldplay is that they are getting better and better with every album from the early Safety EP to X&Y. 13 songs, and at least 10 are brillant. Unless other albums around, this album will be the year's best seller. Coldplay has moved up the indie band list, including a sample of Computer Love by Kraftwerk on Talk. If I had to pick one song to play before I die from this album, than it would be Talk. Will X&Y break the top 10 ...

I brought this at 11:15am 6th June 2005- the day it came out. My expectations were high as I managed to fall in love with both their previous albums, even though I usually steer clear of commercial Indie.
