Advantages: all over brilliant tracks Disadvantages: non
The second album from big-beat legend, Fatboy Slim is an excellent reminder to why Big beat is so good. Starting with ‘Right Here, Right Now’, things kick off to a very good start as the filtered strings and speedy drumbeat keeps things in good shape. Then, summer anthem of ’98, ‘The Rockerfeller Skank’ is clever linked to what was a very amusing and equally real radio show. The controversial ‘Fucking in Heaven’ is brought in with looped vocals and ... ...dance tunes, the most famous melody of them all comes in, ‘Praise You’. If you were space for three years, you’d still recognise this track. Ending last, but certainly not least comes Acid 8000; a big beat track with a three minute acid wing-out that will get you every time. This great CD is one I’d recommend to anyone who liked the last album, and one I’ll listen to again and again. ...

Advantages: Really good Album Disadvantages: Some of the songs let it down
You've Come A Long Way Baby is a really top Album, it contains songs like 'Right Here Right Now', 'The Rockafeller Skank', 'Gangsters Trippin' and 'Praise You'. The music on the album would best be described as Dance and Pop music but each piece is very different and very unique. An overall top album, although some of the songs on there do let it down a little , but still worth buying if your looking for something new !! The quality of the album ...

Advantages: Great to listen to Disadvantages: None!
This is without doubt the best album of '99. How can anybody resist the highly original phunky phat acidic grooves of Fat Boy Slim. There is something for everyone on this album from the big hits like Rockafella Skank and Right here Right now, to the madly retro Acid Boo. If you buy this album you will not be disappointed. This is a must for anyone who loves bass and funky beats. I cannot recommend it strongly enough. This is as good as it gets, ...

Fatboy slim...aka...norman cook.....aka mr zoe ball....
this album is like a drug, i was a bit apprehensive about buying it as i thought norman cook was a pop dico dj, but actually i asw delighted with my purchase, i had purchased a timeless travel from great tune to great tune, the appeal of such an album is widespread, it appeals to the hardene tune/clubbers to the more cautious lets see what it is like before we dive in head first people....right ... ...dance floor filler in my opinion ..but yet appeals because of its soothing feeling ..as well as a rocking video.....on the downside which is minimal..i would not tell my friends that i had puchased such a cd as it gives the impression of a disco dj...but anybody who has bought this album will know that this is a serious album from a serious dj....the fatboy rocks!!!! ...

useful The Fat Boy may have disappeared from view lately (mainly cos he’s not getting all that free press on the Radio 1 breakfast show anymore) but his music lives on. In my opinion this album is definitely one for the must have section and absolutely ... ...acoustic dance theme. Ok so lets face it the album got played to death on it’s release and the repetition of some of the tunes can get stuck in your head with an almost un-paralleled level of annoyance but that’s the beauty of Fat boy’s magic. He’s turned the hook from being the banal add on to a teen pop groups chorus into an essential part of urban living. The album really does deserve revisiting and given that there have been few albums in its ...
