Advantages: Excellent dollar rate, laid back city
Disadvantages: Spent too much shopping and did not get to see the famous New England Fall trees!

We did loose our luggage between Washington and Boston – there was a very tight turn around and we had to clear immigration and recheck our bags in for security reasons on our first point of arrival in the States. Luckily l was forward thinking enough to carry my wash bag, hair bag and so on in my hand luggage so there was no big deal and we got our luggage back in time for morning – no real harm done. We stayed out in Cambridge across the Charles River from Boston City itself – this was very easily accessible from the airport – the T (Boston metro system) took us from the airport changing once directly to the T stop, which happened to be about 2 minutes from the front door of our hotel. Advantages: Harmless slapstick fun for all the family
Disadvantages: a little outdated and sometimes repetative

...The other day I was rummaging though some old boxes in the garage and I came across several video cassettes, one of which contained a movie I had not seen for over twenty years. The movie in question was a one off from the, back then, brilliantly comical partnership of Cannon and Ball (they do window adverts these days). Back then, in the turn of the eighties, I was a big fan of the very funny Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball, loving their tv shows in the late seventies through the eighties, enjoying the way the pair bounced off each other with the brilliant style of humour and fantastic banter. After mentally reminiscing about the past, recalling the brief parts of this movie I could remember, I decided to watch the entire movie again, sitting back, waiting for the comedy to start. I will never forget the day he was murdered and wanted to see the collection that begins when he was young, when he lived in London, (his Father was the United States Ambassador to London), his time in the Navy during WW II and his assassination and the burial procession. Boston is on Massachusetts Bay and I wanted where the "Boston Tea Party" took place. If your not a History buff this event was a protest of the high taxes the British Government had place on imported tea. The Bostonians dumped all of the tea into the Bay. You can learn all about this at the Boston Tea Party Museum. The entrance fee was $4.00. That night the Dean and his Wife were kind enough to take me out to dinner at the Sbarrro Italian Restaurant and then to see a performance of the famous Boston Pops Orchestra at Symphony Hall.
