Further Information
Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed my stay inprague from my previous recent visits to this town I had noticed a big difference in the exchange rate from forty czech koruna's to one Pound to around thirty czech koruna to one Pound. So this place is slowly catching up being a relatively new member of the E.U. Though still from a travel journey it still represents a excellent few Days away from home ...
Advantages: Good location, great pool Disadvantages: Expensive in the hotel, no tea making facilities in room
Corinthia Towers, Prague
We stayed in the 5* Corinthia Towers Hotel inPrague last year and although we had a lovely time, I do have mixed feelings on the place.
My husband and I needed to book a hotel inPrague as we were going there for a wedding. We scoured the internet for deals on hotels and after hours and hours and looking at endless deals and reading reviews we decided to book one of Lastminute.com's "Top Secret Hotels". Now I am always wary of booking somewhere and not knowing the name of the place, but we did do our homework. As the hotel was a 5* there were less hotels that it could actually be, so we compared all of the details and worked out which hotel it was before we booked. A slight risk, but we were right and it saved us about £100.00.
So we stayed at the Corinthia Towers Hotel for 5 nights ...
Advantages: Low price paid per night, decent basic breakfast Disadvantages: No tea and coffee facilities inside the room.
Hotel Apollon Prague
Introduction
Having stayed inPrague many times before I decided upon staying at this hotel as it was slightly outside the town centre area of Prague and it did have easy access to the town centre by using trams.
Getting there
From Dejvicka we got the green line metro to Mustek, wencezlas square, then outside Debenhams from Wencezlas square I took the number nine tram which took about 15 minutes on the tram.
Paying for the accomodation
This was paid for in advance using a credit card using www.booking.com. I paid a total of £20 a night which was excellent value for money, though I was slightly annoyed as my credit card was charged straightaway for the booking. I was also charged 50 czech koruna which is about £2 for breaking the card key to the room. Though all in all I was happy ...
