Johnny Cash who performed with several other artists including, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Car Perkins, Chet Atkins and of course his wife June Carter Cash.
This man for me is the King of Country his styles have changed from what ever style or frame of mind he was in at the time, his voice offers both depth and tone to any song even a badly written song perfromed by JC sounds good.
He spent time in prison and engaged these visits into his music and portrayed him self to be an honest man by hiding no facts that he had strayed from the right ways of life he also encourage others to do the same, come clean and your fans will understand and love you more for being truthful he told one country star.
This cd embraces the best of him and his styles with his country guitar riffs and deep voice some of his best hits ever are on this cd, his last song released " Hurt " is on there which i belive was written while mourning his wifes death, sadly he died only approx 3 months after losing his wife.
The country scene will changed now forever with the loss of this artist his input was a much needed boost for country music in the whole spectrum.
1. Ring Of Fire Best song for which Johnny Cash is reknown for a very catchy tune and tone with a good use of his deep vocals). 2. I Walk The Line A basic style country riff and backing, almost cumbers up an image of a lonely hobo walk the train tracks deep in thought but changes to the thoughts of a man in love and dumped by his lover and made to suffer the consequences. 3. Jackson Performed with his wife June Carter Cash and highly uplifting style song, and cumbers up an image of a country family in their home have a gettogether singalong on a Sunday afternoon. 4. Folsom Prison Blues A guy in prison admitting hes done wrong but driven mad by the fact that outside his walls life goes on without any care embellessed with a deep regret. 5. Boy Named Sue (live) A comedy style song about a boy whoose father called him " Sue " and the trials he went through to find his father, starts with a hate for his father and ends with a kinda love for him (very funny if you listen to the lyricks). 6. Big River 7. Get Rhythm 8. Cry Cry Cry 9. Hey Porter 10. Thing Called Love 11. Guess Things Happen That Way 12. San Quentin (live) (Performed Live At San Quentin Prison, detailling bad feelings against both the USA detention system but mostly against the prison itself. 13. Man In Black 14. Highwayman 15. Wanderer - Cash, Johnny & U2 16. I've Been Everywhere 17. Rusty Cage 18. Personal Jesus 19. Give My Love To Rose 20. One 21. Hurt A title for a song which when you listen to seems like the artist is hurting himself deep down, a true thought provoking song with depth, almost seems to me an artist with drepression, bearing in mind what the artist had just lost from his life, this song i would think was his way of dealing with his " Hurt ".
This cd is a must to any country fan and an absolute gem and i challenge anyone to find fault with this as this is the artists best work saved for last.
Buy and enjoy..

Good review. My mum really likes his music. She has this album. I love 'boy named Sue'. Very funny. You could maybe add the cd price and a bit more on what you think about the tracks though. :O) xxx
