Advantages: Tastes Nice, Quenches The Thirst Disadvantages: Can't Think Of Any
When I needed something to quench my thirst the other day I picked up a bottle of Juice Burst OrangeJuice which looked ideal as I fancied something that was Orange flavour but I didn't want anything that was too fizzy.
Having never tried this drink before I decided to give it a try, and now I have enjoyed the experience I thought that I would share it with you.
THE PRODUCT
Juice Burst is made by Purity Soft Drinks Ltd, a small independent family business that was established in 1892.
Purity launched their range of Fruit Burst drinks in 2001 and today they have established themselves as a leading brand of bottled Fruit Juices.
Juice Burst is sold in 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre bottles and it is available in a wide range of different flavours. These are: Orange, Apple, Apple & Blackcurrant, Blackcurrant, Cranberry, Pink ...
Advantages: Delicious taste, recyclable packaging, one of my five a day. Disadvantages: None.
I am a regular drinker of squashes and I like nothing more than a nice glass of fruit juice in the morning as it makes a nice change.
The carton is a standard fruit juice carton and it has a flip top lid and a foil seal (good to see it's not been tampered with!). It is recyclable as well which is another plus point.
The juice has had all of its pulp removed and is very smooth. It's bright orange in colour (as you'd probably expect) and tastes like oranges without being too bitter. It has quite a sweetness to it and I find one small glass to be more than enough for me in the mornings as I normally can't stomach breakfast (yes, I know it's the most important meal of the day!). I find that a carton of this lasts me around 3-4 days and it is best drunk in this time otherwise it starts to taste a little sore and horrible.
One 150ml ...
Advantages: Fine everyday family juice Disadvantages: Value for money rate might be going down
only buy this OrangeJuice brand because it is cheap. When the price gets too close between this one and a better tasting one ..........well ..... we might as well all go to Iceland or the Co-Op or anywhere else.
So, keeping half an eye to the price.........
Why do we buy it?
It's cheap, cheerful, tastes reasonable, and apparently we all need to increase our intake of fruit and juice.
What does it taste like?
OK, more like orangejuice than "real oranges", bit syrupy. Not very sweet considering the sugar content is 26g per 250ml.
How is it packaged?
This I don't mind, if it keeps costs down and saves unnecessary plastic spouts ending up in the environment. Sold in 1 Litre cartons. Boring but fine thick carton Tetra-type, the usual uninspiring Tesco trademark navy blue colours and red value blazon. (Re-cyclable, where ...
