Advantages: A throughly enjoyable read with a decent original storyline Disadvantages: May take too long to get going for some people.
To continue on the theme of John Grisham books comes the next one I found on my shelf as I work through all the old Books I’ve read. As a former Lawyer Grisham bases most of his books on this field and although at first this probably doesn’t sound appealing he somehow manages to bring it to live and turn it into a gripping read. He pulls on his own knowledge of law and criminal proceedings in such a way that it makes it interesting to read and simple to understand. And although ...
Advantages: A fast moving storyline holds your attention... Disadvantages: ...despite the shallow characters and implausibility
The Testament, another hefty best-seller from John Grisham. Just how well does it stack up against his other novels?

Synopsis
The Last Testament follows Maggie Costello who is an Irish woman working as a peacekeeper in the United States. Therefore Washington decide to call in one of their star negotiators Maggie Costello. However Maggie is not as confident about her abilities as Washington are, although she believes that this may be a chance to make up for the mistakes she is made in the past. Spin (6/92, p.72) - Recommended - "..The band has replaced [thrash's] inherent redundancy and manic speed with well-constructed songs relentlessly pelted with cool riffs...melodic thrash metal masterfully sandblasted.." Entertainment Weekly (5/29/92, p.64) - "..they've slowed the music down a few RPMs and added subtlety to the arrangements.." - Rating: B
