Advantages: A bit like Red Dwarf Disadvantages: Not enough like Red Dwarf
again. The last series of Red Dwarf was abysmal, but I stuck with it because I was a hopeless addict by then and was completely involved with the characters. So if Grant does a follow-up to Colony, I will probably read it, because I have started to get to know these new characters. The author has a good track record, so I'll give him another chance.
The blurb on the back of the book reads : “The human race is facing extinction. And the only man who can save it is made up of the bits even the most ravenous cannibal would leave on the side of the plate. A generation-spanning epic saga of treachery, revenge and fluorescent pink socks.”
Sound a bit like the early Red Dwarfs? It is. It is again the story of one man who has survived beyond his years. In Red Dwarf it was Lister, because he had been in stasis. In Colony it is Eddie ...

Advantages: Great superstar, Latino style manner. Disadvantages: Losing a great athlete
trained hard to become a professional superstar, he returned to his hometown, In El Paso Texas, after obtaining a scholarship from the University in Mexico. This was to be the beginning of Eddie's career.
He signed a contract with the AWA, and had some of the most remembered matches against some of the best superstars including, Dean Malenko, and the late Chris Benoit. When he signed for WCW, he became an instant recognized name in wrestling, having even greater battles against high profile superstars such as, the high-flying Rey Mysterio.
Eddie got to a point in his life, where he thought he'd done it all, winning match after match, beating superstar after superstar, and winning championship title after championship title. He would earn enough cash to buy him the most biggest, stylish and most expensive of assets (fast cars, fast yachts ...
Advantages: Money! Disadvantages: Not that much money...for arts and humanities students at least
prefer to sponsor scientific research over those projects in the arts and humanities, and this is reflected in the structuring of the councils. The AHRC covers a very wide remit of subjects - such as history, archaeology, English, literature, linguistics, philosophy, classics, drama and art - that also feature some of the most popular choices of degree subject, as I'm sure many of you will agree! The science councils, on the other hand, cover much more specific subject areas that attract far fewer students: there is a council for Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, and another for Particle Physics and Astronomy, for example. The outcome of this is that there is far more competition for AHRC postgraduate grants than there is for the grants offered by any of the other research councils. When I applied in 2002, I was advised at that time that ...
