The Rocky RoadTo Romance
I've always been a fan of Janet Evanovich's Plum and Motor series, but hadn't read many of her other books. In the past few years (now that she's making quite a name for herself) many of Evanovich's pre-Plum romance novels have been released. The Rocky Roadto Romance is one such book. Originally published in 1991, it was one of the better pre-Plum romances. Even so, it quickly went out of print, destined for the shelves of second-hand book stores everywhere. The Rocky Roadto Romance was re-released at the end of 2004 under the Harper Collins label.

For such a famous director, Sam Mendes has made very few films. Only two in fact; the multi-Oscar winning American Beauty and this 2002 follow-up, RoadTo Perdition. Although follow-up isn't really the right term, as this is completely different. I was surprised to find that this did not win any major Oscars, although it was nominated for about six, because it really is a brilliant film. I was also surprised that for such a great film, it was not advertised very well; I didn't really know anything about this film before I saw it, and I bet lots of people don't know about it at all, which is a shame.
