top album by top group

Advantages: song amazing tracks, great guitar work
Disadvantages: a couple of songs let it down

Disraeli gears is a classic album by 60s supergroup Cream. This album probably shows Cream at their most psychadelic with hippie anthem 'sunshine of your love', 'swlabr (she walks like a bearded rainbow)' and 'strange brew'' all providing that trippy hippy rock feel. the album also contains some brilliant blues standards in 'outside woman blues' and 'take it back'. this is probably the best cream album lyrically with many of the songs co-written ...
...excellent, the only qualm being that ginger baker doesnt get the opportunity to really show off with an extended solo. other stand-out tracks are the aggresive wah-wah song 'tales of brave ulyssees' and 'dance the night away'. there is even a little cockney jingle at the end, which adds a bit of humour to proceedings. overall this is a very good album but is perhaps slightly less dazzling than the excellent 'wheels of fire' album. if you are new ...

I Know It's Over

Advantages: Great songs and great singing
Disadvantages: Still don't dig Eternal Life

...6 concerts in Jeff Buckley's Mystery White Boy tour make up this live album. My ratings are as follows: [*] - Nothing really catches the attention. [**] - Something grabs my attention. A let down in comparison with the previous 3 volumes

Advantages: Some good tracks
Disadvantages: Not as good as the previous volumes, less covers

I have been eagerly anticipating Live Lounge Vol 4 having loved the previous 3 volumes. However, I was very disappointed with this collection. It contains less covers than the previous volumes. The covers for me where always the best thing about it. There are several good tracks including Little Boots doing Beat Again, Biffy's Love, Sex, Magic and Kasabian's cover of Gwen Stefani.
