No one came, for miles around.............
Advantages: Another brilliant British prog rock album Disadvantages: none whatsoever
First released in 1971, Fireball was the follow up to "In Rock" and is seen as part two of a trilogy of classic British progressive rock albums from Deep Purple, sandwiched between 1970's In Rock and 1972's Machine Head. Thought for today: other than Zeppelin's IV, Houses Of The Holy and Physical Graffiti, has any other band ever come out with three great albums one after the other? I doubt it very much. Coldplay fans there's the door, you ain't ... ...but hey you don't buy Fireball just to read how it was made do ya. So you get the original 7 tracks of the vinyl, plus nine extra cuts. THE ORIGINAL ALBUM
The title bursts out of the speakers; it's all urgency, seemingly everyone playing different lines - Glover's bass is all over the place and Paice's drumming is thrashing about trying to keep up - but somehow it all works. Apparently this was taken at such a fast speed in the studio that they ...

Not quite on the Boyle
Advantages: A nice album from a lady who has provided global inspiration Disadvantages: Heard it all before, I'm afraid
...and I'm as surprised as I was the first time I heard her sing that I am the first reviewer of it. Such is the impact that SuBo has had internationally, and the diverse opinions that she has created, I thought there would be numerous reviews on the 'Love her or Hate her' recording artist. I am neither of these, incidentally, I think I'm more of a SuBo-skeptic.
It cannot be argued that she must be one of, if not the, best known women on the planet. ... ...know her, and groan when I mention her name. She has certainly divided the globe.
When I first saw her on Britain's Got Talent, I was shocked, and the genuinity of the expressions of the judges adds to her appeal. I must confess my own ignorance by confirming that I had never heard the song 'I Dreamed a Dream' before. The nearest I get to musicals is when I sing in the shower. It has, all of a sudden, become as known worldwide as the woman herself.

No-Man - Beautiful songs you should know
Advantages: Great, accessible introduction to the band Disadvantages: none
...Their 6th official studio album Schoolyard Ghosts was released in May 2008, and took a week to leave the player. It's an infectious, beautiful work from an occasional collaboration that has consistently brought us a skilful combination of chill and chill-out for almost two decades. As with any band, there are echoes from previous releases here, I can hear some references from Carolina Skeletons and All That You Are (both from the Returning Jesus ... ...this album is definitely moving forwards. There's a depth of self-assurance coming out of these songs that I haven't heard in the previous releases, but that doesn't mean that they've rested on their laurels. Listening to the surround version on the accompanying DVDA, the layering of sounds envelops you, it's absolutely absorbing to shut your eyes and try to hear everything that's going on around you. Lyrically, life gets picked over with Tim Bowness' ...

ONE WORD, AMAZING!
Advantages: consistency throughout , excellent presentation, amazing sound Disadvantages: would love some more songs!
Kings of Leon lastest album has seen a fresh approach to classic rock traditions and orginality. The 11 track album was worth every penny in my opinion. The tracks seem to get better and better the more you listen to them making you truely fall in love with a well compiled album with consistency throughout, youl find it hard to decide upon your favourite track. The brothers and cousin have for sure lived up to their 3 other excellent albums, whilst ...

Alls Well That Ends Well is my favorite CD.
Advantages: Gret sound, amazing lyrics Disadvantages: One instrumental
This is my most favorite CD. All the tracks are perfectly recorded and played. I listen to this CD at least once a week, it never gets old. The boys of Chiodos are geniuses and should not be overlooked. Everyone should listen to this album at least once in their lifetime. Chiodos is an amazing band, and this is the best album they have produced. This album is deffinatley worth the money and effort. The tracks start out strong, and end strong, not ...
