...1970's acoustic "III" album.
Physical Graffiti came out in spring 1975 and was a massive seller, staying at no 1 on the US charts for much of that year. It is a colossal record and most Zepp fans will have either this or the "Runes" album as their favourite. Mine is actually "Houses", but hey, you pay your money and take your choice. CUSTARD PIE
Zeppelin raid Bukka White's "Shake Em On Down" for the rythym track, although with a clever bit of keyboard ... ...rocker. The "Custard Pie" that Robert Plant is singing about appears to relate to a certain part of the female anatomy. I'll leave you to work it out for yourselves.

Argus was first released in May 1972, it was a very sucessful album at the time, going gold, and over the years has become their most famous record. Something of a "concept" album this one, but I use that dreaded word loosely as it only applies as an ongoing theme linking the songs on the old side two. The original gatefold sleeve showed a warrior staring out over a lush green valley, contemplating the battle that is soon ... ...who were masters of their craft in the 70s.

Queen is the debut album the band Queen. It was released in July 1973 and was the building blocks of for what was to come. It was recorded at Trident Studios and De Lane Lea Music Centre, London. De Lane Lea Music Centre was a brand new recording studio and Queen were asks to try it out to make sure it was all set for the big bands of the time. This was a massive break for Queen as recording time was not cheap. The album was influenced by the hard ... ...their multi-tracking effects (Something that Queen used for a lot of albums) as synthesizers. Also John Deacon was named as "Deacon John" on the album as the band through it would make him sound more interesting. Advantages: Extended Jamming, superb musicianship, brilliant songs Disadvantages: Long drum solo
...the time when this was made back in 1972 very few acts had released a live album so this was a major gamble, so if you think about it for an album that came out about 35 years ago to still be regarded as an all time great should give you some idea as to how good an album this is and always was.
This is an album that hits you right from the start and continues to pummel your senses right til the end but with the inclusion of the three original encores ... ...on the original version of made in japan were from this monster of an album which had just been released, but going back to the material on this album itself it consists mostly of what are considered purple classics, the opening number highway star is one of those instantly recognizable driving anthems that features heavily on rock radio stations and rock compilations, the next song child in time is a completely jaw dropping excersise in excess, ...
