Going steadily up in my estimation every listen.
Advantages: All the hits, and more. Disadvantages: Maybe a little to much more.
...culled from the Manchester group's singles from the years 1977 to 1979.
The big hits are included of course. Their spiky ode to unrequited love, What do I Get? , the Pete Shelley penned masterpiece Ever Fallen in Love, and the smutty fun of the teenage paean to onanism - Orgasm Addict. Lesser known tunes to the casual listener such as Autonomy and Everybody's Happy Nowadays further showcase the Steve Diggle and Pete Shelley partnership as capable ... ...This "all the hits and more" package was banded together in 1979 and has now had its track list bumped up from 16 to 24. Much like The Jam's Compact Snap it has always been a preferred choice to other attempts at a Buzzcocks best that sidestep the feel of those early efforts. Some of the bonus tracks are great (Why She's The Girl From The Chainstore), others feel a little unnecessary (Airwaves Dream), but none bring down the overall quality. With ...

Buzzing
Advantages: Catch pop hooks and melodys Disadvantages: A few bad B-sides
...first UK punk-pop band.
Singles Going Steady is an album of the Buzzcocks eight singles and a bunch B-sides. All filled with catchy hooks, melodies, punk rage, blasting guitars, loopy bass lines, hard-hitting drums, and high-pitch wailing vocals.
There is no way you can listen to this CD without one of there songs being stuck in your head. Just about all the songs on this album are about love and sex. Some of the B-side tracks arn't as catch or ...

GaGa still brings the Excitement!
Advantages: 8 Great different sounding tracks Disadvantages: Always leaves you wanting more & then you have to wait for her next masterpiece album.
...her earlier stuff on The Fame album. It reminds me of a summer track, listening to it whilst just chilling on the beach. It's not as catchy as the other songs but it does bring something different to this album.
8) Teeth - To be honest when i first listened to this song i thought 'What the Hell is she doing?!?' Its hard to describe this song. It reminds me of a song that would be performed in a cabaret bar and it really is an old-fashioned number. ... ...Dangerous album. He uses old school beats and strange sounding vocals to create a unique song for Lady GaGa. After a few listens to this song i found myself clicking my fingers and tapping my feet to the beat. I'm looking forward to seeing her perform this live when i go see her in concert in 2010.
The album booklet is a simple black 14 page booklet which includes the lyrics to all the songs. There is also 3 pictures of Lady Gaga in her typical ...

Why it may not be Pulp, Jarvis maintains his solid solo catalogue
Advantages: Excellent, witty lyrics with a decent range of style. Jarvis is just too cool.. Disadvantages: No real 'big hitter' of a track that you'd find on a Pulp album if your a more general listener
...of the 90's. Further Complications is Jarvis' attempt towards a more indie Brit rock album which still oozes the class of a brilliant frontman. The title track is certainly a great opener, catchy and witty which pretty much sums up the rest of the Album. 'Angela' is one of those songs that will get in your head until people end up asking you why the hell you keep saying Angela in a funny accent and who the hell she is! other examples of this raspy ... ...tracks; not the sort that will come on your iPod shuffle and you'll skip. There are more soleful elements to the album too; Discosong and Hold Still, Hold Still especially as one of those typical 'I can barely hear him but it sounds so good' Cocker songs. It's probably become obvious that I mention nearly every song as 'Solid' but this is definately where this album comes in and it does not really contain a big chart hitting song. Then again, who ...

Excellent effort
Advantages: Not 1 bad track Disadvantages: More tracks would make it more amazing
My boyfriend bought me this after 'Ignorance' had just been released, so I will admit I was expecting an album full of rocky songs almost screamed out.
I was very wrong! A diverse range of slow and thought provoking sounds mixed with a good dose of rock. Favourite tracks include the sublime 'Ignorance', 'The Only Exception' and the fabulous 'Decode' taken hauntingly from the hit film 'Twilight'.
I never got to hear theier earlier stuff, but if ...
