Advantages: Great listening experience. Disadvantages: Early Soundgarden, so lyrically not so advanced.
An amazing second album from the late Soundgarden, which grabs the ears instantly. The band show their ability to play very sophisticated rock, with a good handful of completely amazing and mind-blowing sounds. Although the lyrics are quite clichéd, this doesn't reduce your listening pleasure. In fact, it was the calm before the storm in Soundgarden's case, with one album in particular giving very prolific and demanding songs. Of course, I mean Superunknown. ...
Advantages: learn how the real melody and pattern of Nirvana Songs Disadvantages: Some tracks may sound really annoying
This album is the very first album of the band, the recording is still a bit raw but it really brings out the grunge sound to it. There are also a lot of hit songs in this album like About a girl, its a simple track with very basic riff pattern but still the voice of Kurt compensates for everything. The Indian melody of Love buzz really has groovy bass lines, and speaking of groovy bass lines the song Blew is really powerful with the singing of Kurt ... ...not be as powerful as the succeeding albums but still this album is one of my favorites. Dave Grohl was still not with Nirvana during this album, the drumming we hear in this album is by Chad Channing, which is eventually replaced by Dave Grohl. This is album is worth listening to because this is history in the making, the time Nirvana rose into fame. ...

Overall I would say that this album is more ... ...its foot in the shoe that would eventually bring them to the band that they finally became. The songs produced on this album were not overly amazing (as Soundgarden came to be) but they were still good.
The Budget for this album was low and as such the production was not amazing quality but it somehow adds to the rawness of the record. 1. Flower – A great opening to the album and still to this day one of my favourite Soundgarden songs. An interesting ...

...This is a greatest hits album from a band who I have up there as one of the master bands of Rock and Roll music. I am sure some of this bands songs have appeared on movies as soundtracks. In addition the main reason I bought this album is because they included the song you better you bet as track number 16 as well as the classic song 'who are you'.
Largely because of these two classic tracks I bought the album as I wanted to listen to other tracks ... ...songs all of which were greatest hits by the Who. I will try to describe and detail as best as I can on a track by track basis.

Track 1: I can't explain: This perhaps is an interesting song, as it starts off in a punchy and forceful way on the guitar as well as having nice to hear lyrics. The song provided me with a pleasant mood to hear other songs on the list. Overall I find this a really great track that really ...
Of Whales and Woe is Les Claypool's first proper solo album. His name may not be familiar to all as he is better known as Primus' frontman bassist extraordinaire. This album was released back in 2006 on his own record label Prawn Song. (It was recently re-released on vinyl as of November 2009.) Not so much of the wacky lyrics on this album but a far more accessable feel than his previous works. Nearly every track featured here is bass-driven in his ... ...check this out! The arrangements of the other instruments like saxophone sitar, guitar and drums, etc sit really well together without drowning anything out. The songs themselves are really catchy and you'll find yourself singing along too by the end of it. There is even one track on here, Iowan Girl, written specially for his wife with some of the most amazing bass playing I have ever heard. There isn't a bad track on here in my opinion.
