Advantages: The Title Track - Who Made Who Disadvantages: Only has one great new song
...and three new songs, "01. Who Made Who" which is a great song and really worth getting your hands on. "03. D.T." Which is an instrumental and also "08. Chase The Ace" which is another instrumental. If you are familiar with AC/DC you will see this as an unofficial greatest hits, If your not an AC/DC fan then this is a good first album to buy. AC/DC fans will enjoy the new songs on this album, people who enjoy rock, but haven't heard AC/DC will enjoy it even more with so many AC/DC great songs on this ...
Advantages: Ten tracks of classic hard rock from 1982 Disadvantages: If you don't like rock you won't like these
Named after a character in Dickens's 'David Copperfield' Uriah Heep released their first album 'Very 'Eavy...Very 'Umble' in 1969 and displayed a very organ and guitar enfused form of rock with even acoustic and jazz elements thrown into the mix for good measure.
There fourteenth album 'Abominog', released in 1982, was the follow-up to their previous showpiece 'Conquest' and only contained one surviving member of the band that recorded it. In fact, ... ...motive and starting afresh with a new group.
However, he didn't, and 'Abominog' was a fairly successful album featuring a change of sound for the band. Now, with Pete Goalby on vocals, John Sinclair on keyboards and two ex-members of Ozzy Osbournes band during the recordings of Ozzy's LP's 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman' Lee Kerslake and Bob Daisley on drums and bass respectively, the group played a much harder rock than previously and ...
Advantages: Possibly their best work, Bonus tracks, long interview Disadvantages: None
...This album was originally released on a small independent label called FM after they left their previous label Jet. This album was produced by Kit Woolven and recorded in UB40's studio in Birmingham (UK). The album was so good it was the springboard to their signing with major label Polydor in the latter part of the eighties. Anyway back to the music....
From the atmospheric "How far Jerusalem" to the poignant "Les mort dansant" to the beautiful ... ...track called Come on Young Love which actually is just "steal your heart" with a different chorus.
There is also a 26 minute interview with Bob and Tony (circa 1993)
Cover artwork by Rodney Matthews depicting what looks like a tavern.
Possibly one of my favourite Matthews pictures. ...
Advantages: Jailbreak, Baby Please Don't Go Disadvantages: None
This isn't a bad CD featuring songs that were written and recorded with Bon Scott in 1975/76 although it wasn't realeased till 1984 (Four years after the death of lead singer Bon Scott). This includes the excellent song "01. Jailbreak" which has to be the best on this album. "02. You Ain't Got A Hold On Me" Is a one of my least favourite songs on this album along with "04. Soul Stripper". "03. Show Business" and "05. Baby, Please Don't Go" These ... ...album but there still a couple of good songs. This also has a great inlay booklet.
This album is made up of the songs that the original AC/DC line up recorded for their first album but didn't make it into the final album.
This is a good album and I don't think AC/DC fans will be disappointed with this. ...
Advantages: The very best of Dire Straits Music. Disadvantages: None!
...to make war, ********On our Brothers in arms. REASONS FOR PURCHASING. I actually think this Brothers In Arms CD by Dire Straits, was the very first Album, I ever had in my CD collection. This is the CD I always play, when I am feeling down or a little sad inside. This CD of course has some great feel good songs on board it also, but the tracks “Why Worry” and “Brothers In Arms” from this album really make me cry a lot. Yes! They really do, ... ...highly recommend. I bought this Brothers In Arms CD not long after it was released into the Album chart, as at that time, CDs where just coming on to the market for sale and Brothers In Arms was one of the first Albums to be released onto CD I remember. Well of course back in the eighties Dire Straits where a very successful Rock Group and I could not get enough of their great sounding music to listen to, so of course I had to have this CD to try ...
