Advantages: Some iconic stuff here.
Disadvantages: Couple of weak tracks.

It is a depressing song yes, but also brilliant in it's insight, 'There aint no asylum here', how contemporary that was and prophetic. This is lyrically and politically quite stunning as a song. ...hell boy'. (the steel), followed by "Let me tell you about your blood kid, it aint Coca Cola, it's rice", to the Vietnamese child. So harsh, so raw. 10/10. ~*~*~*Police and Thieves*~*~*~ A punked up version of the Junior Marvin song, bloomin' fantastic, the echo on the lead guitar is just the business. Exactly what it says on the cover.

Advantages: Tonnes of outstanding tracks
Disadvantages: Their later stuff doesn't do it for me

...this two disc set contians all there punk hits (but is strangly missing Jonny Was?!?), the second disk contians their ska/blues/pop hits. The first disk for me is by far the best and every song on it is great. Political lyrics with simple, fast chord progresions and some cracking slow solos thrown in makes for a great listen. Some people who are into mainstream pop with not be a fan of the vocials as the a bit flat but for me it works beautifully. ...
...is a slow ska song all about racism and how it's not an excuse. There are a few live track riddled over the 2 disks but you'll bearly tell the difference. The only reason I know they're there is because (live) is written next to every track that is live. This album is worth owning if your just getting into SLF or if some-one has recomended them to you. Also great for avid fans that want all there best hits all on the same album. ...

Lightning Strikes 3 times for the Clash

Advantages: great tracks,lots of them

A revoloutionary Clash of music and words

Advantages: Some Great songs/classics with insightful lyrics that challenge the listener
Disadvantages: a couple of weaker tracks that seem to be slighly experimental

What a privelidge to be the first to write about arguably one of the best bands ever definately the best punk band for me and such a great great album. Electro Chic In Black

Advantages: Sumptuous sound, great production, typically offbeat
Disadvantages: An overdone electro beat, corny in places
