Stay beautiful - forever
Advantages: One of the greatest albums ever Disadvantages: Its took 10 years for most people to realise it
...On its first release, the Holy Bible was described by Sean as 'not the kind of album you would play at a party'. The Holy Bible was dark, deep, almost malignant evil, with lyrics of such power that they were sung through gritted angry teeth over a breathtaking rollercoaster ride of a soundtrack. It gets the respect it deserves with this edition, which is beautifully packaged and includes many new features, it's 3 discs including the much awaited ... ...exclusive DVD footage. The album shows the Manic Street Preachers at the peak of their powers, with scratchily metallic guitars, frantic drums and random samples, a glimpse of darkness and honesty which shone like a blackened beacon amongst a world of processed pop and meaningless lyrics.
The lyrics are brutally honest, ranging from political correctness to the US gun law, to prostitution, concentration camps, the death of youth, slimming disorder ...

Jagged Little Pill Acoustic-Alanis Morissette
Advantages: Chilled out, familiar, still got that magic, more mature vocals make songs emotionally stronger. Disadvantages: Not really any new material but it does give you something new in sound and feel.
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic- released in 2005 suits the new Alanis really well. With her general albums showing a mellower (hippier) side, the acoustic take on the past albums is really a nice idea. The good thing about this album is that the songs still have the familiarity that they did before but with a slightly new sound. Now if you are expecting it to be an album of just Alanis and an acoustic six string, then you will be proved wrong! From ... ...of the first version of Jagged Little Pill and feel concerned that this album wont have anything to offer, then dont be concerned. This album really does offer something different and as I have got older, I think I now prefer this version. It really is something lovely to put on when travelling on a busy packed tube that makes you feel more chilled, more contemplative and stil gives you that edge with the cutting wit of her memorable and catchy lyrics. ...

There Goes My Hero, He's Ordinary
Advantages: Some amazing songs Disadvantages: SOme weak songs
...one. Track 19: Colour and the Shape
Screeching describes this track to a T, it's not good, it's not pleasant to listen to and it's just a damn mess. My Opinion
Now that was a weird review I have to say, did I enjoy writing it? The answer is yes, it's nice to write about a band I feel quite passionate about I have to say, I will do a special section below on someone who I thought was one of the greatest singers and musicians in the world, ... ...alternative rock. The Colour and the Shape vs. Extra Tracks
I got the 10th Anniversary special with extra tracks of Amazon for just under £5 however if you want to get the one without the extra tracks like I would suggest you do, you are looking to pay about £2 more than the more recent release. I would however buy the album without the extra tracks on, I'm sure you can get it cheap off EBay because the extra tracks are just awful. Should ...

A Re-Release of a Modern Classic!
Advantages: Bonus DVD and loads of extra features! Disadvantages: None!
Everything Must Go was an album that gained the Manic Street Preachers a whole new generation of fans, after the much-mourned departure of guitarist Richey Edwards. With more accessible songs than their previous releases, but still possessing the edge that made the Manics heroes to so many fans in the first place - the ability to challenge conventions with their lyrics whilst still making catchy tunes - this album every bit deserves to be re-released. ... ...on the "main" disc, as there are plenty of reviews of the original release for that, however the extras on this edition are worth the cover price and more. Alongside live tracks and demos of both released and un-released material, are some of the b-sides most loved amongst fans, in particular the spectacular Stealth Sonic Orchestra remix of A Design For Life. Other highlights include Horses Under Starlight - a beautiful instrumental, the controversial ...

Pop-Stars? More like Flop-Stars!
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Watered Down, Teenage, Stupid
I'm not giving Metro Station a bad review just because Trace Cyrus is Miley Cyrus's brother. The reason I am giving them a bad review is because the album they produced is just awful. It shouldn't even be called music. It is watered-down pop punk that doesn't really deserve much recognition. The lyrics are unimaginative and and are just cheesy to the point of being unbearably annoying. Unfortunatly, songs such as "Shake It" have wormed their way ...
