Advantages: An excellent collection from an excellent band Disadvantages: Just ten songs...
...to the genre.
A greatest hits album is just what the band needed to showcase it's skills to the world inside one collection, but with just 10 tracks, it begs the questions as to why so few? I honestly don't know.
'Man In the Box' is the albums opening track, the only track from 1990 release 'Facelift', and it is certainly one of the most famous AIC tracks, and a definite favourite of mine. It's low, dark guitar riffs on top of vocals to match from ... ...to kick the album off.
The following four tracks are all taken from 1992 release, 'Dirt' - 'Them Bones', 'Rooster', 'Angry Chair' and 'Would?', proving why Dirt was arguably their best album. The haunting, echoing vocals on the likes of Them Bones was a definitive style of the band. The echoing guitars of 'Rooster' are eerily beautiful, along with the thought-provking, dark lyrics on top of it - 'The bullet sccreeeaammss at me from somewhere'. And ...
Advantages: All the best Songs PLUS unheard footage Disadvantages: they are all demo's and rehearsals, no studio recordings
Lets start with the fact that this is an amazing CD , i dont care what anyone else thinks this has all the greats like " smells like teen spirit" and " Mrs. Butter Worth" all On the same CD as Unreleasd demos and outtakes even radio apperances with Kurt cobain on acoustic.
For Those That dont Know Nirvana Is a Grunge metal band that was big in the 90's and still is big with the rockers of today but their music lives on through the memorys of the ... ...think he did!!(but we wont get into that). The band were huge and still are and i hope they will live on. Their music is purely insperational even if some of the songs are darn right stupid and make no sense ( Mrs. Butterworth, goes on about buying a fleemarket and making more money) Some of the songs really reach out and touch you ,like " heart shaped box". Personally i think this Cd is better than the studio recorded ones over all but it would ...

Diorama was the album that got me to start listening to Silverchair. It was pretty different from a lot of the other rock songs which were released around that time period, and after someone I know gave me a burned CD with a few songs he thought I should check out; I found that I was listening to "One Way Mule" over and over and over. Some years later I was able to purchase the whole album and I didn't regret it. I'm still listening to "Too much ... ...now I'm older and mostly into metal. This album represented a change that Daniel Johns went though, a change from the darkness of his previous work.
In this album, Silverchair worked with a different producer, David Bottril instead of Nick Launay. If you're still into grunge or want a different taste of hard/alternative rock you should buy this album.

Pearl jam belive it or not sold more albums than Nirvana, and they are still around . So how come kids of a certain age go aroun in Nirvana T's, but havent heard of Pearl jam. Anyway im not here to discuss that.
Eddie and the gang are now on there 7th studio album, how does the new one comare to the back catallogue? Well suffice to say its diffrent . Deffinatly a break away from 'Binaurals' stark sound , not to say its as raw as 'Ten' though.
The ... ...makes it a great varied listen. The songs range from the very edgy and fast paced, pure rock of 'Save You' to the far more melow 'Thumbing my way' With a pleasant mix of everything else between. Also worth noting is that all the members seem to have had a hand in writing the albums music and lyrics, nice to see. As seems the trend in Pearl jams songs , thers a few political messages in there to amuse you too.
