Advantages: Upbeat, not cliche Disadvantages: none
...was already in love with Silent Alarm itself. The reason for this album I am not sure, but I am glad they put it out there as an added extra. There are also some tracks on here which are not on the Silent Alarm Album (Tulips and compliments). Sometimes when artists release remix albums, they are sheer crap. However the songs from the previous album have been taken and crafted into songs which are far more upbeat, and are worthy of a round of applause. ...
Advantages: All the Sarah Mclachlan greats remixed Disadvantages: There should be more songs remixed too
...has fun on stage.
Remixed is a compilation CD filled with some of the great Sarah tracks, remixed for very upbeat dancy sounds. By Arista 2003. My actual copy was purchased at the concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. It is available in most music stores, ebay and other internet Music Sites (also on Sarah's wesite www.sarahmclachlan.com)
Tracks:-
1. Fear (Hybrid's Super Collider Mix) 9:00
2. Sweet Surrender (DJ Tiesto Mix) 7:02
3. Angel (Dusted ... ...Mix) 10:19
Mixed and remixed by some great, popular and well known DJs the CD is filled with fantastic music. Each track is still individual to Sarah - clear which track it is but mixed in fantastic ways to make them extra special and a pleasure to listen to.
Silence (from Deleriums album Karma) is excellent and the true dance classic.
Any true Sarah fan should have a copy of Remixed in their CD collection. ...
Advantages: Er... Disadvantages: Awful covers of classic songs.
Inside (yes, inside), this is subtitled "Metal vs Electronica". Oh, God. What have I let myself in for? The temptation of hearing Lemmy sing Acca Dacca was just too much for me to resist when I saw this in Virgin Paris (he said casually).
The first track - "Back In Black" is probably the best. Or least worse. The vocals by Joe Lyn Turner are excellent, and JLT would probably make a great replacement if Beano ever decides to retire. The guitar work ... ...though.
Lemmy's growls are certainly interesting enough to hear on "It's A Long Way To The Top", but the guitar (by Jake E Lee) and - even worse - the drum machine are beginning to get annoying. Even the "crowd" noise is dubbed in.
The rest just gets too depressing to report on, as classic after classic is wrecked. The culprits include Dee Snider, Kevin Dubrow, John Corabi, Whitfield Crane and Stephen Pearcy. All very guilty men. Why did I buy ...

...This is a greatest hits album from a band who I have up there as one of the master bands of Rock and Roll music. I am sure some of this bands songs have appeared on movies as soundtracks. In addition the main reason I bought this album is because they included the song you better you bet as track number 16 as well as the classic song 'who are you'.
Largely because of these two classic tracks I bought the album as I wanted to listen to other tracks ... ...songs all of which were greatest hits by the Who. I will try to describe and detail as best as I can on a track by track basis.
-------------------------------
Track 1: I can't explain: This perhaps is an interesting song, as it starts off in a punchy and forceful way on the guitar as well as having nice to hear lyrics. The song provided me with a pleasant mood to hear other songs on the list. Overall I find this a really great track that really ...
Of Whales and Woe is Les Claypool's first proper solo album. His name may not be familiar to all as he is better known as Primus' frontman bassist extraordinaire. This album was released back in 2006 on his own record label Prawn Song. (It was recently re-released on vinyl as of November 2009.) Not so much of the wacky lyrics on this album but a far more accessable feel than his previous works. Nearly every track featured here is bass-driven in his ... ...check this out! The arrangements of the other instruments like saxophone sitar, guitar and drums, etc sit really well together without drowning anything out. The songs themselves are really catchy and you'll find yourself singing along too by the end of it. There is even one track on here, Iowan Girl, written specially for his wife with some of the most amazing bass playing I have ever heard. There isn't a bad track on here in my opinion.
