Disadvantages: quality of the first album could not be repeated on their following albums

When Franz Ferdinand released Take Me Out in 2004, it immediately charted at #3 in the British charts and reached the top 20 in numerous European Charts and even managed to do what many of its musical predecessors had previously failed to do : crack the US top 20. Kasabian - Another Great British Band...

Advantages: A superb album, with swagger, great vocals, invention, clever melodies, and powerful rhythms
Disadvantages: It took me so long to find them...

...of a latecomer to the Kasabian party. Up until recently, I had heard of them, but didn't think I knew any of their songs. In fact, all I knew was that they were some sort of guitar/electronica mash-up, and, to be honest, it sounded pretty weird, so I stayed away from them. It was a definitely a mistake. dookie the beggining of greatness

Advantages: longview, pushing teeth, the whole album
Disadvantages: nothing

ok i have to say i absolutely love this album i first brought it back in 1994 when i was 10 on tape and have had to replace it several times on cd due to over listening it. This album was a great way to introduce your band to the world, its catchy tunes that had lyrics relevant to its young listeners, which are still relevant today. Billie joe armstrong has it all great looks great voice great writing ability and he plays the guitar fantasticaly ...
...for success. song to listen to is pushing teeth a 60s influenced track that is catchy and will have you singing along for days. If you have only got into green day since american idiot i suggest you buy some of their early stuff. listen out for the hidden track at the end of the album, it will have you in stitches. ...

Review of Hopes And Fears - Keane

A needle in the hay, but worth searching for.

Advantages: beautiful melodies, great guitarist, vocalist, acoustic
Disadvantages: if you are into dance, very upbeat music then this isn't for you.

I absolutely love Elliott Smith. He is one the most influential, beautifully talented acoustic artist around, and as a musician myself his songs have true meaning and inspriation. This self-titled album is soothing, and a great pleasure to listen to. It's less polished and commercial than his other albums, but still has some brilliant classics such as 'coming up roses' 'needle in the hay' 'clementine' 'southern belle' and so many more, I could go ...
...and touch your soul, they reveal and paint the picture of his hard, pained but interesting life.This low production album is mezmerizing, and although takes a few listens to appreciate each song individually, is truly worth buying and having in the collection.
