Advantages: Some great Songs Disadvantages: Some terrible Songs
As a proud owner of this album myself I can tell you that by buying it you will not be dissapointed. As an avid fan of 60's music myself, yet not from that era myself, i was as eager as anyone to get my hands on this product regardless!
Personally I enjoyed tracks 3,7, and 9 best. Some of the good old classics!
Admittedly the other ones may have been slightly poorly chosen, but I assume it was some poor uneducated survey collector somewhere who ...

Advantages: Lots of tracks ranging through the years. Disadvantages: not all the greats
I bought this album for myself when Elvis was coming back into fashion with the general masses when the single "A little less conversation" was released. You would think the title of the album being 30 No. 1's all the classics would be on there but i was sadly mistaken. Its funny to not find certain songs on there that you would definetly think were hits.
The cd is accompanied by a inner booklet that gives track listings and a small explanation ... ...them etc. At the back you have a section by which you can order Elvis merchandise. You can even apply for an Elvis credit card!!!
All the songs on the album are good but to get a better idea of how good Elvis really was you need to delve further than just a best of album. Maybe this album would suit someone who just wanted a brief dusting of elvis but fans will need to delve deeper. ...

...be better than a GREATEST HITS album? I find this CD very relaxing and enjoyable, especially to take your mind off those stressful things going on in your life. Being the impressionable 21-year old, I'm always keen to find new music to add to my collection or taste. But sometimes it helps to go back a few years as well.... A couple of years ago, if you'd have asked me to name a couple of Cure songs, I'd have said "what?" and the closest I'd be able to come is say "isn't their lead singer a bit 'eccentric' for an old man?"....
However, upon a visit to the iTunes store and typing in 'The Cure', I recognised ... ...Well, I thought maybe it would be because Robert Smith & co have been doing rather well off royalty money from adverts/theme tunes/backing music in recent year.....no, it's because they've produced music that has stood the test of time and is just as good now as it was then. It's music that still gets played in rock nightclubs, radio stations, TV channels and maybe it does get the odd bit of 'extra' airtime. (E.g. "Close To Me" being on a BBC Three ...
