Advantages: has alot of their well known songs, and some great lesser known ones Disadvantages: they have left off quitea few of their singles
A compilation spanning all seven studio albums, an album which has alot of their famous singles e.g. parklife, song 2, beetlebum, and has the non album single popscene, plus alot of classic album tracks that the casual listener might have not heard. This double album has 25 songs and covers all of their sound from the early days of the leasure with shes so high the brit pop years with girls & boys, for tomorrow, advert and the universal, and also ... ...In my personal opinion it is a very good album with exelent music showing blurs different styles over the years butjust as they did on their 2000 compilation the best of they have left out a few of their famous and i dare say most loved singles on this album such as country house, theres no other way M.O.R. and to the end to name a few. In short a good album if you want to see what blur are about, but you could get there albums with these songs on ...

Advantages: Shows the way after britpop Disadvantages: definatly not park life
This is for me blur at their very best. They have that wonderful cheeky poppy tonein this album but also have some much darker moments and become a bit more experiemental. The years have been kind to this ablum, after 10 years it still sounds fresh. To a certain extent this was like blur's radiohead ... ...ended britpop and showed that blur were a very serious band, which as their fans already knew were not all about pop songs. Song 2 is a fantstic punk inspired pop track. Essex dog is excellent for painting a truly bleak picture with both lyrics and music.
A definate future classic and well worth a buy. Blur did what Oasis never could and experiemented, it definatly paid off ...

Review of Blur - Blur
Advantages: The biggest band of the 90's. Disadvantages: One for the fans.
What a great testament to the band that everyone has their own views on what should be here. I think it shows real depth in the Oasis locker. Personally I would have included Little By Little, Let There Be Love, Stand by Me, Don't Go Away & Who Put the Weight of the World On My Shoulders (stunning track from the 'Goal' soundtrack) I can perhaps see why the band went with the track list they have. It shows the range of the band with the adrenaline ... ...of course anthemic rock tunes, topped off with the beautifully crafted and personal 'Don't look Back In Anger' I also think it was wise to include a few b-sides. I remember when every Oasis single came out it was like buying a mini album with gems like Acquiesce, Talk Tonight, Half the World Away and Of course the stunning Masterplan. The latter of which is possibly Noels greatest song, although that debate would probably create the same amount of ...
