Where to start with this album? Arctic Monkeys absolutely exploded onto the Indie scene with their refreshingly different style. This album made them suppermassive and it is essential for any collection. Even Noel Gallagher admits they have trangressed into part of youth culture! ...is their debut single 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor', a song which has just about made it to cult classic status. This fast paced tune is a firm fans favourite and is what the Monkey's are all about. I would recommend this album to anybody into Indie Rock'n'Roll music, or anyone looking for something that bit different. I was given this album for Christmas about 4 years ago, and at the time I only knew about two songs from guns n roses. But When i first played this album, I realised I knew most of the tracks. It has some great hits on it such as 'welcome to the jungle,' 'Sweet child o mine,' 'Novemeber rain,' 'Knockin on heavens door,' 'Paradise city,' 'Live and let die,' and 'Sympathy for the Devil.' Jack Johnson and Friends

Advantages: Has his great hit upside down.
Disadvantages: very childlike rythms and lyrics, not his usual acoustic relaxing music.

At first I wasn't really a big jack johnson fan, all of my mates were listening to him day in day out. After hearing it alot I started to enjoy it more and more. Now I am quite a big fan of his. However, when I bought this CD in the shop I thought bargain, quite cheap with his new hit song ''upside down''. When I got home and played it, that was the only song I could bring my ears to listening too. I was very disappointed with the songs and lyrics. ...

Mad, compulsive paranoid but basically he's happy

I have one of my best friends to blame for purchasing this album, not that I mind. Everytime we go out to her local pool club there is a juke box and she will always choose a couple of tracks from this album. Then I decided I wanted to be able to listen to the whole album whenever I wanted. I went into HMV in Oxford street a couple of weeks ago and I seached the cd's under A and came across the album and checked the tracks and decided yep. Queued ...
