Advantages: Classic Kiss sound, Great Extras, Completely Re-recorded classics, DVD Disadvantages: DVD not very long
When Kiss Frontman Paul Stanley promised the best KISS album in decades, we were all a little sceptial to say the least. Could KISS really produce an album as good as their earlier 70s work? Well the moment finally came and boy was his promise correct!
The first track on the album happens to be the first single released, "Modern Day Delilah" and with the hard drums, rocking guitar solos and Pauls high pitched vocals, there is no doubt this is KISS, ... ...Animal" and in my opinion the new kiss anthem "Stand", each one sounding differant but still providing a great classic Kiss sound.
"When Lightning Strikes" is new KISS guitarist Thommy Thayers vocal debut and he does a great job, sounding like a mix between Paul & Gene, and rocking a great tune.
Drummer Eric Singer also has a Vocal track on the album entitled "All for the Glory" again this is definately an anthem that was made for the live shows.

Advantages: delivers some awesome songs and an overall great sound Disadvantages: a few bad songs thrown in
the best in town is the second full album released by the welsh post hardcore band , the blackout. Having listened to the previous album i had high hopes for the album although this is the first album on their new record label Epitah so my concern was that they would keep the right formula. The unique 6 member band fshowcase welsh talent for post hardcore rock music, their real unique feature is that of two singers for screaming and melodies which ... ...This album , the best in town proves to me that the success of the first full album was no fluke delivering a powerfull sound with heavy guitar riffs and scorching screamo amongst the melodic singing. The addition of a guest singer who is the lead singer of youmeatsix was also a pleasent surpirse when listening to the album. Tracklist: 1.Shut-the-fuck-uppercut This is a fantastic start to the album and they start with how they mean to go on. A bang ...
Advantages: Trademark, traditional AC/DC Disadvantages: None
...a few 'slower' tracks on Black Ice, but then again the guys are getting on! However, it is still typical AC/DC with the brilliant pounding rhythm's and still contains Brian Johnson's screaming vocal, although as I pointed out earlier, you do see a 'softer' side to his voice on this album, where he injects a little bit of soul into his vocals and has never sounded better! 'Big Jack' is a big song which is certain to be a crowd pleaser on tour if played ... ...Dream Rocking All The Way Black Ice Within a week of its release, Black Ice had shipped 5,000,000 copies worldwide and made its debut at No.1 in the UK album charts. The band announced a worldwide tour which commenced last year and is continuing right through 2009. Tickets for the concerts were snapped up within minutes of release, and I was lucky enough to be able to purchase tickets online, seconds after their release, (and with much refreshing ...

Along Came A Spider Alice Cooper the legend of rock has released his 25th studio album 'Along Came a Spider'. This is his highest charting album since his album 'Hey Stoopid' charting at #31 in the UK. This album as with most of Alice's does have a couple of guest appearances on it firstly Slash ex Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist who plays on track 2 "Vengeance Is Mine" , and Ozzy Osbourne who believe it or not does ... ...on track 3 "Wake the Dead" . Both of these artists are also featured on Alice's album "Hey Stoopid" where they appeared on the title track. Being a huge Alice Cooper fan for some years now and having all of his albums to date, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this album. Despite his age Alice is still able to out rock the best of them. The album is a concept style album with a strong theme running throughout the song lyrics. It tells the ...
...been previous greatest hits albums, Mothership is the first time that all their most celebrated songs have been brought together to create this must own cd. For those who are yet to buy or hear any Led Zep, this would be a really fantastic place to start.
Every inch of this 24 track double CD collection pumps with instant classics. From the incredible opener of 'Good Times Bad Times', you can really feel the true rock 'n' roll, bluesy nature of ... ...- you only need to look as far as a comparison between 'Communication Breakdown' and 'Since I've Been Loving You' to see this clearly. Even though the second CD has the well known 'Kashmir', it is the first CD which stands out, having of course 'Stairway to Heaven', but also less well known but equally great songs such as 'Ramble On'. It goes without saying of course, that if you already own the Led Zep back cataloge, there is no reason why you need ...
