Possibly the best!

Advantages: Fresh, well edited, catchy, a return to their roots.
Disadvantages: Some diehards may dislike the production

I was there - listen to me !!

Advantages: Brilliantly directed
Disadvantages: They only showed half of Brain Stew/Jaded

I attended the actual gig myself in Milton Keynes and it was amazing !!! There were over 65 thousand people that attended over two nights - Green Days biggest yet. I waited for this CD/DVD to come out very impatiently as I couldnt wait to reminise. Once purchased, i immediately put into my DVD player to watch. This is a documentary/ concert. In between each song, the band speak for a couple of minutes about various things relating to American Idiot. ...
...ruins the flow of the concert and can be a little disheartening. Also, I feel once you have watched in this format a couple of times, you don't need to hear the "facts and figures", you just want to get along with the concert. The songs chosen for the DVD were suited to mainstream and maybe not the hardcore Green Day fans as such. Green Day have a song which is split into two tracks but they only have shown one half of this which is really ruined ...

Clash - Of the Titans

Advantages: Interesting and enjoyable snapshot of life and music in London, 1979.
Disadvantages: Newcomers might enjoy it 10% less than old fans.

...Vain', which appears on the London Calling album. Train in Vain is an amazing funky, upbeat song, which shows an entirely different side to the band, and yet you can still tell it is a Clash song. After hearing Train in Vain, I was considering buying the album, but was not entirely convinced I would enjoy a whole Clash album, and even less sure I would fork out £10 or so to find out. Advantages: Superb thrash & punk throughout
Disadvantages: None

Brasil by Ratos De Porao is a true masterpiece, an ideal mix of punk, hardcore and thrash metal with even the nice occasional melodical touch thrown in for good measure, fast instrumental work and outstanding guitar solos to get your fingers moving (particularly on the track Law of Silence) to, to add to the idealistic guitar solos there is also some amazing bass lines and militant hammering drumming throughout.
