Faith is a superb Album and is highly recommended for anyone that is a fan of the Band. This deluxe version however is somewhat of a disappointment and I would suggest that you would be better oof spending your money on a single CD version of this Album, which is available. This includes the same tracklisting as Disc One of this deluxe edition.

Advantages: amazing new album from finnish love metal band HIM Disadvantages: cyanide sun drags on a bit.
...of Greatest Love Songs vol.666, Venus Doom presents a more mature evolution of the band. despite the 'back to basics' change however, we still see this as a HIM album, from the guitar filled love in cold blood, the crooning of bleed well to the doom laden title track.
being a huge HIM fan myself, i definately praise this album as one of the band's best - my favourite being deep shadows and brilliant highlights - so any like minded fan may view this ...

Their style - and heaven forbid they read this - is very Gothic in its presentation; His Infernal Majesty, in full, focus their craft around the two themes of love and death, sometimes the two clash within their music, in others, they are separate entities altogether. But then again, there is a much more alternative metal type feel to their branding, away from the dark lyrics. Lead singer Ville Valo, who comes across as almost coy on ... ...romantic lyrics. Migé the bassist and Gas Lipstick, the strangely amusing drummer, complete the Finnish five piece, who have had a couple of changes within the band since they began but, this has been the set up since their fourth studio album, 'Love Metal'.
I think that Ville's likening to Black Sabbath is a pretty unfair estimation though in many ways. I'm not overly confident in my knowledge of Ozzy's group -although head banging to 'Paranoid' ...
